when somebody plays for the country for many years, the records will be broken automatically! it is not their mistake [as you think] but ability!!!
Also no batsmen can play only for make/break records... unless bowlers r such stupids.

if you stop scoring once you reach 90s you will definetly create record but team will loose

Recent Asia cup in Bangladesh is a perfect example. The scoring rate could have been better if Tendu did not go for his 100th century and India could have won the match against Bangladesh. But we lost the match.
That is called playing for personal records.
May be it is time for Tendu for some introspection and resign for cricket for good. Atleast resign from ODI for now. Look at the way we lost both in AUS and ENG. Against AUS none of the bowlers had enough experience to bowl against the likes of Tendu, Lax and Drav.

Fastforward to 2025 , Sachin Tendulkar says "Its sad to see Unmukt Chand retire. I 'll definitely miss him in the middle... Blah blah blah" the same old same old statement from Sachin..

I dont think Virat reminds one of Sachin, is anyone its Ricky ponting...

Not so elegant stroke making but tons of ability to hit shots and score runs,
leg side stroke making,
Batting position,
Leadership potential,
Temperament (short)

My prediction: This guy will score mroe 100s than sachin atleast in one dayers

like ponting, he will be sorted out before long. he will probably beat ponting's record of centuries as india plays more on flat tracks, but sachin will remain unbeaten, at least in one days.

I said

SACHIN'S FIRST ODI 100 CAME AFTER 20 YEARS.. IN AUS.

Not Test 100!!

Virat already has one ODI & one Test, in succession.
