performer in crunch situations, he performed best against quality pacers, only thing that he wasnt a show-off player n media savvy. his innings has always been on winning cause.
VVS Laxman is a class act like GR Viswanath and both are classy players, while VVS retired what Sachin do, will he play till the age of 60 in bid to hold all the records.BCCI has the answer,
The reason for VVS announcing his retirement started with ch--tia Sunny Gavaskar writing in his column that he failed in England and Australia selectors need to look for alternate in place of him. Even Sachin scores zeroes in all the innings he plays this ch--tia Gavaskar doesn't mind and comments that all the balls that dismissed sachin were beautifully bowled and unplayable or he comments that the presence of sachin in dressing room itself is a big boost to Indian Team and opposition gets weaker by seeing him. This bloody Gavaskar should be kicked out and then all the things get right.

i have not turned on sachin here but backing krishna's comments on sunny. Really sunny though a good voice on ears unlike siva etc , is very much biased for sachin

281 must be considered as the best test innning so far by any batsman in cricket history. Look at the condition and opposition in that condition. Even a player like sachin and Bradman would dream to play such a knock once in a lifetime.

Mr Joshi, sachin played as opener and 2 down as per convenience, while laxman comes late and on batting pitches it makes a huge differences.vvs 281 is in top 5 of wisden.

Krishna please try to remember that K. Shrikanth is chief selector and Sunny's columns are not a reason. Look who replaced VVS, Badri :)
Iam a genuine Indian Cricket Fan ------ i)we have IPL and INDIA A team ii)BCCI has plenty of money as well
LAXMAN is gifted and good batsman and fit as well I feel he has 1 or 2 more years of cricket common guys he is only 36 or 37 years old
can someone tell me which YOUNGER indian player will burst open now on test stage
Azhar made 3 centuries on debut surav too made a century on debut
can someone tell me who will do it now ?
---- Also iamm in syd aust ,last india tour ,right in the middle of tour some indians fans said take virat kohli and let Rohit Sharma including NDTV wallahs it was 100 percent wrong thing to do
Re: why rush boss - laxman has still 1 or 2 yrs left
by Chakru S on Aug 21, 2012 05:13 PM
Absolutely correct. We will miss the stylish feather touch to see the ball moving to fence with bulet speed. One can walk miles together to see the elegance of Laxman's batting. One correction Mr.Rama, Azharuddin made 3 consecutive centuries on debut and Saurav made 2 consecutive centuries on debut.
