I agree to Laxman & Sachin's presence because oldies should retire phase by phase to give the team some balance. With the T20 mindset which our youngsters have, it takes sometime to adjust to the test format.
Yuvraj, i feel should play ODIs and not tests. And Pujara has NOT been given a long rope like Rohit Sharma as the writer claims.

I dont understand WTF does Rohit Sharma have (talent, as the writer claims)........ Anybody will do well on Indian soil (maybe this is the plan to retain him in the team saying he did well in WI tour to India or NZ tour to India)......

1.the writer says Pujara is likely to get a long rope , not that he has got it.
2.sharma for all his talent has been poor and only because of dhoni and mumbai bias by bcci is still in the team.
Higly unlikely that sharma will be dropped from squad just like R Jadeja who was favorite of dhoni he kkeps getting chances ahead of Rahane who delivers better wwhenever he plays.
3.Pujara looks the future No.3 bat for sure.time will tell

Just read the article "Rohit Sharma and the talent problem" from Harsha Bhogle on cricinfo. It is very sensible.

Why everyone talking about Rohit Sharma talent despite of very poor performance because some commentators like Harsh Bhogle, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjerkar and team management like him

did read that earlier.
the same harsha was backing him earlier , but he has also realised like most of us that talent of sharma is waste if he cannot back it up with temperament that is needed.
Sharma is lazy as can be seen with the shots he attempts at times.
surprisingly sharma when he was not selected in 11 in tests in aus said that he did not sleep all night before Adelaide test and watched a movie and had fast food in the morning etc,
but when he has been given such a long stay in the team in odi and t20 he could not come up with the goods.
Still lot of time in his career

Rohit .... No Way ! ! ! !
by chirag foryou on Aug 10, 2012 03:55 AM

.
Rohit is all time greatest and we simply don't need legend like him. For how long India will play with only 10 players.

Throw Rohit and bring Manoj Tiwary in his place. Manoj is 1000 times better than Rohit in term of talent

Sachin is total waste . He is just like a movie dada sankar dada. What happend to indian test team in england and australia? The entire nation forgot ? Sachin is nothing for cricket for indian team. He is only for himself not for country. He never won a game for country. It is unfortunate our country depend sachin ? Sachin much leave cricket for national interest ? So many hockey players better than sachin went unnoticed in india ? Is anyone remember Dhanrajpillay ?

is sachin is better than our own haryana tiger our beloved Kapildev ? The king of fast bowling in subcontinent death pitches.Sachin must retire from cricket . Good for cricket and entire nation . Sachin is a 20-22nd centuary's selfish persion. Who gave the power to him to take long off from cricket. Is any indian player dare to take such a decision ? who gave him power. Last ten years how many games he won for our country? our country millions of young people waiting for breakthrough in sports area. But players like sachin behaving like a don . Who is going to control him? Our national selectors must drop sachin and they should not consider him for future cricket activities.

Sachin must be dropped and not considered for cricket. Now he is celebratity for losing cause. Shame about his 100th ton. Who need that and that too against bangaladesh. India cannot reach final in asia cup 2011 or 2011? sachin is history and sachin is king of selfish and paper tiger.
