India did share the Champions Trophy with Sri Lanka in 2002 under Ganguly. So, technically they won the tournament as they were the joint winners.
This is not fixed world cup.When BCCI and corporate lobby purchase all boards like Australian board,south african board,sri lanka board.This is club game.Every body give their 100 percent like west indies team T and T,australian team.So now dhoni,tingu and you see how did champions trophy again win by australian clubs.
