Sir, it seems that you are showing communalism here by calling "jerks". No one hates Sachin because he is a Maharashtrian. Each guy who hates him have their own reason (however stupid it may be). By your way of talking, do u think all North Indians, or even Maharashtrians like him? If you have a reason to hate south indians, tell it out straightly instead of all this "beating the bush" strategy. And I like Sachin Tendulkar (not because he is from any XYZ state......). Hope you understood what i want to say.
Sachhins suggestion seems to be no good for it will break the tempo and interest will be lost. It would be better if 50 overs are bowled continously. Sacchin scoree a ton and then retire.
Sachins idea is very good. Five day test matches are for specialized batsmen and bowlers,one day matches are for all rounders while 20-20 is pure entertainers. I wish to add the following to Sachins idea. The batting order for the second innings should be reversed so that the tail enders of the first innings will open the second innings while the openers of the first innings will be the tail enders. This will ensure more all rounders considered for the team. Srisant like player will be a liability if he fails as a bowler.

Let BCCI first experiment it in domestic tournaments like Deodhar Trophy or any other 50-50 over tournament at home. It it successful , then recommend it for ODIs.
However, the suggestion looks stupid, there would be 3 innings breaks making it a very dull. The 50 over innings builds a momentum which would be completely lost after the innings break.
If they really want to make ODIs more attractive, then they should make it 35-35 over match.
The cronies will agree to whatever each other says irrespective of merit, you scratch my back and I will scratch your.... The tragedy is these guys will get into cricket admin and further their own interests and that of their cronies as srikanth has been doing.
