disease of kerala is the building with spire that has a dead man nailed to a wooden stick. Unless its mowed down, keralites have no hope

MR Tharoor Listen to the following Points
by myview on Sep 20, 2011 01:54 PM  | Hide replies

Tharoor, you are thinking that One IPL Team will solve the eternal problems of Kerala, then you have never learned from your mistakes. We have many other problems to be solved.

Unemployment -
Left Parties those who are against Developments.
Munnar Encrochments.
Terrorism supported by SIMI.
Age old people living in Kerala without their Children working out of Kerala to support Kerala Economy and even earning for their relatives for watching IPL cricket.
Infrastructure.
If you had raised these kind of an alarm on Vallarpadam Project I would have agreed. That could have changed our economy, still you need to do many things to develop Vallarpadam as a Port which can be compared to Singapore or Colombo. Please concentrate on that leave you IPL Dreams that is a hype of Rich people. We don't have many of them in Kerala. We need jobs and Infrastructure to attract more investment.
If you miss all these things next time election you will not even get a chance to address a gathering.
I thought you are a well experienced person after working in UN now I understood you also have the same mentality of a beurocrate without any vision. You cry where you have an advantage. I never seen any of your comments on relevent issues of Kerala, why you are so particular about IPL, what will happen if IPL is not there.

Kerala supports sports like Football and Vollyball. Try to develop the sport people in kerala like rather than you like.

SO Concentrate in your work as an MP and serve.

End of Kerala's IPL Dream
by Muraleedharan Manghat on Sep 20, 2011 01:51 PM

Your heading itself is wrong. It was never Kerala's or Keralites dream to have an IPL team, it was only the dream of a few elite and selfish individuals and similar vested interests who were eager to exploit the resourses of the State and its people. If Mr.Tharoor was really interested in the promotion and development of his home state, he should have concentrated on providing good infrastructural facilities in the State and promoted football which is the most popular sport in Kerala. The residents of Cochin are already suffering a lot due to sewarage, garbage, water and traffic problems . Leaders like Mr.Tharoor should try to improve this situation instead of trying to enrich themselves under the pretext of serving the State like this!!

He rues the missed opportunity to loot Rs.300 crores with out doing any work in the name of sweat equity. It is shame on him.I am surprised how keralites elected him.I am reasonably sure that they will never vote this chap again.I have not seen many keralites talking out of line &get thoroughly heckled. It issurprising that he does not learn

change yourself

So Shashi... Reading all comments? If you want to win election next time in Kerala CHANGE YOURSELF. Dont ever compare foreign countries and their developments in India especially Kerala. The disparity between rich and poor is too low here. If you bring unwanted stuff to this land of peace, it would be disaster.

You are telling someone that people of Kerala can't change, so you change your expectation to change. LOL.. dude, our state would be ZERO if there was no remittance from foreign counties. We make nothing and consume everything from other states. If any state ever need a change, it is Kerala and the attitude of people like you.

Land of peace - LOL .. the most politically violent state. Even yesterday, I couldn;t go out because some political party decided that I have no rights to do so. A land that exports Jehadi's to all other states. A land where caste / religion comes before anything else.

Unwanted stuff - yeah, capital and investment are not needed here. We do not belive in economics either. As long as we can export engineers, nurses and labours, we don't need anything else. Good attitude dude.

Kerala & Kochi in cricket ??
by Raghunandan V on Sep 20, 2011 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

Over the years, i feel, kerala is not as much cricket loving as others .. i only think it was a outsiders motive to make money by investing in Kochi and using kochi to launch them self into IPL, where everyone seems to be making money.. cricket is still one of second coming games in the state i would think.. Keralites dont pounce on me .. 5 out of 6 keralite friends prefer to catup with the score than watch the match on TV.. nothing against keralites, but i sincerely feel KTK was neither a fully keralite entity and never was interested in cricket in the state.. my opinion... but it is definitely not death of cricket in the state.. there is history of keralites having migrated to nearby TN or Karnataka or Railways and done good there..

Mr. Tharoor - If your idea was to persuade investors from Gujarat and Maharashtra to start IPL, it should not had been your first step as a MP, so you lost your job. If you are trying to copy Sharad Pawar, to your information he has done lot of things for his district, created many employment opportunities atleast with minimum wages and developed agriculture, (for India he is not doing anything), so do something productive for kerala, you know Kerala has natural resources like good rainfall, fertile land, but lack in tapping the rainfall for agricultures, cost of manpower is high,so as a MP ask your investors to invest in such work, so atleast you shall be in politics otherwise you shall be vanished

If you don't like reservations/affirmative action in BCCI/IPL, take your caste/community share of land from India and build your own nation.

by Naveen Kumar on Sep 20, 2011 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

IPL is not a game but a Gambling. BCCI should ban IPL. People don't want to see Indian national players play for the money. Game should be playe to win for country and not for money. Useless tharoor didn't worked well in the Foreign ministry as well. These people are a blot on Indian leadership.

Are you serious? Dude, sports is professionaly played for clubs, not for inflate your chavanism. Sports is meant to entertain and unite, not to devide - like when India takes on field issues to political issues vs Australis, SA etc. Only sports that have no capacity to attract enough money / viewers are played for countries. Cricket has outgrown it. Ever heard of football clubs?

Why did the owners of this team promised BCCI the bank guarantee when they were incapabl of furnishing one? Money is hard reality and no one can make a drama of his monetory strength!! Its pity that Shashi is also not in a position to salvage the situation for them!!!
