Ban cricket ban IPL nations which are not playing cricket are far ahead of nations which are playing cricket. Cricket is just a waste of time and money

IPL team for Kerala was conceived without taking into consideration the need for such an entity.
Everyone knows there isnt enough black money to launder in Kerala.
And all the neighboring states have their own teams for laundering money.
It was destined to die from day one as any other biz venture - close down if u cant find enuf customers.

Tharoor misunderstood kerala state itself, especially possibilities in cricket since greed is the motive.Keralites have no finacial strenght to suppoort a game which is not as popular as it is elsewhere in India.Even in the Rest of India 20-20 IPL will die a sudden death

You should be happy that you are out of IPL scam
by sudip majumder on Sep 20, 2011 12:44 PM

Regardless, you get the backing of Maha and you are doomed for ever because they are very comfortable dealing with the tainted money. This cricket has become a complete scam and IPL is the way to convert the tainted money into something. The whole thing is a scam and everyone is deep into this .. so you should consider yourself lucky enough to get out of the mud

IPL is not linked to pride of state or region, it is clearly a for profit making or status symbol. Shaharkh is no Bengali, Wadia doesn't belong to Punjab; so all this pride etc is false patriotism imparted to make sure these businessmen who invested money and BCCI get profit out of it. Except Sreesanth who's a local player there who made big last season?
Very strange Shashi is pretending to become emotional, not expected from India's ex-embassy person to US.It is sheer politics of emotions.

Let Kerala focus on other sports
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Sep 20, 2011 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

There are enough crazy states to produce cricketers. May Kerala more hockey players like Sreejesh.
Anyway, this IPL is a nonsense that is ruining Indian cricket than helping it.

Kerala has always been a top notch sports state in our sportingly-handicapped country.

dirty game...
by True Voice on Sep 20, 2011 12:37 PM  | Hide replies

This guy had dirty interest in IPL thru his wife (to be wife during the scam). He charged heavy consultation fee to CWG too to handle foreign tie-ups. If so patriotic should have done it free of cost. He thinks developments means somany bridges, buildings, posh cars etc etc. Kerala is the best developed state in India in terms of standard of living... means with less income more comfort. Let him state here if he has seen a economic city like Calicut or Kollam anywhere in India. Encourage farmers and small scale industries man.. You dont live in fools paradise.
