The article is nothing but good prose. Mr. Tharoor has showcased his English writing skills, and nothing else. The last line was absolutely hilarious. - 'Cricket, and the narrative of India's 21st century development, will be poorer for Kochi Tuskers Kerala's exit from the IPL.' The only person unemployed after the Kochi team is thrown out will be Mr. Sreesanth.
Sashi Tharoor's efforts in bringing and IPL team for Kerala is commendable. He made the dreams of young mallus come true, even at the cost of loosing his position. Cricket lovers of Kerala owe you Mr. Tharoor
It was clear frm begining that Ahmedabad wanted the IPL. Even the present owners are patels frm Gujarat. it is quite possible that they themselves have purposely defaulted to get entry frm Gujarat. Lot of stuff can be sold to Ahmedabadis - T shirt , caps etc. it could be more lucarative to operate frm ahmedabad rather than kochi

ક્રિકેટ, અને ભારત 21 મી સદીમાં વિકાસની કથા, અને IPL માંથી કોચી Tuskers માતાનો કેરલા બહાર નીકળવા માટે ગરીબ આવશે.
I wonder if Keralites ever dreamed of an IPL team for Kerala ! I don't think Keralites are stupid enough to spend huge money for IPL matches as the organizers expected. Average Keralite won't even blink an eye about this so called 'loss'. IPL is for big money rollers and Kerala doesn't have that kind of crowd.
Look at Kerala, they saved their assets iniside a temple for more than 400 years.Any other brave ruler from North India or west India able to do such feets.

The fact is that more than half this treasure was pilfered by the king and his family and the other half is only on paper. By the way, every small ruler in the erstwhile princely states transferred their wealth to the temple to avoid it being transferred to the coffers of the Indian government. Only Kerala rulers can 'do such feets'
IT was not an altruistic gesture on mr tharoor's part to support the kerala ipl. his (then) girlfriend was being given a attractive stake in the enterprise in return for his "support". does he expect us to forget that he lost his job as a minister because of cricket. instead of staying away from cricket he is jumping in to give his two bit opinion. is he expecting to cash in on the ban by cosying upto the BCCI again? you never know, he might have a better relationship with the new bcci dispensation and the present ipl commissioner rajiv shukla!!!
