Parthiv should replace Dhoni. Amazing batting skills( especially pulls,straight drives) he showed against quality english bowling speaks volumes of this hard-working talented batsman. I have been conveying since a long time that he is lot better than Dhoni and that he should groomed but it never happened.

Yes Iagree Patel was always a very correct batsman,He plays late and uses his crease wonderfilly while plying back foot strokes.Selectors jaust neglected him Also Rahane is a compact player.Lucky he got a break now.Pathan bros too r good.Irfan bowled nicely in IPL.One final thought Kumble Vensarkar Arun lal shrikant should form a selection pannel.

How can you say so. Parthiv's highest score has been 58 over a career span of nearly 10 years. He scored 95 but don't forget. It was a chancy one. Whilst Dhoni has rattled centuries after centuries in one Dayers. Parthiv is also not a wicket keeper of high standard. He can't keep upto a bowler like Anil Kumble. And his dropping of Pieterson in the one dayer provoked some funny comments. We Indians are very emotional. Don't get carried away by emotions. Judge the facts in totality before making comments.

may be dhoni is good hitter ...when it\\\\\\\'s come to basics and class or capability to handle swing bowling parthiv seems better than indian captain...so atleast in test matches he should be given chance....

i agree. parthiv patel has been a good batsman even against the quality bowlers unlike other flat bed pitch sub-continent heros. does any1 remember his heroics against express bowlers - bret lees and shoaib akhtars in their own den but recently also he has scored back to back fifties against quality SA team in SA (n not in ind dead pitches).
he has a definite technique to play against quality pacers. hope he concentrates on his batting more n v wud b having good batsman to play IN OVERSEAS ckt matches. he was also sidelined before ausis tour despite scoring more than 1400 runs in season including all forms of game.
I am sure it is not! the Series will be over by the Time he reaches UK. if they have any brains left, they should send a replacement for sachin as well!
its high time. players shud b signed on contract to decide whether they want to play for ipl or country. players playing for ipl shud b banned from playing in ind team. ipl is the main root cause of all the injuries of ind players n also lack of motivation in playing for country (when they can get money of the whole year playing for just 1 m)
srikkant almost determined to increase the numbers of donkeys in team india.this both players performance was complete flop at IPL & WORLD CUP.why do they ignore inform uttappa ?

y r u talking like naser husain? if dean jones can b banned by the channel for calling amla a terrorist, then this naser hussain also shud b banned from talking on channels.
Mr. Sunil Gavaskar should also give a try because after selection of Ravinder Jadeja & Manoj Tiwari, I think it's never too late to start. I can guarantee that all these injured players will be absolutely fit for IPL. For BCCI and our so-called cricketers, money matters more than the country :(

India needs Anna hazare type mass agitation to remove corruption from BCCI and to save hindus and hindustan from dirty game of Test Cricket Now.It is time TO Ban Test Cricket FOREVER to save indian economy& to save hindustan itself from misery&poverty too.All Indians who watched this & last TEST must ask themselves whether they have NOT wasted so many hours&caused the country billions of dollars by wasting productive time for nation-building or NOT!?Shame one billion people are still continuing with playing boring& time wastingTests&,etc,WE must launch a national agitation to BAN TEST matches&3 Day&ODI Matches FOREVER. What are you saying? Test cricket is the true form of the game that tests a players tenacity, his fitness levels, concentration and so many other important factors. I think this bloody IPL should be taken off the calendar.. our current injured list of players are all fine when IPL happens and when it comes to playing for the country they are all injured.. I think am all for an agitation to ban IPL though in principle a 20 over match is fine if its a part of any series.. IPL is just money, betting and all the rotten things that come along with it.. so much to identifying talent.. how many players make it to the Indian team from IPL? the percentage is ignorable.. Ban IPL.. and of course am all for an RTI act for the BCCI..

i support u. ban ipl. all these players become fit during ipl/cl. there is no motivation for them to play for country . they get the pay in one month what they wud hv got playing the whole year for country.

I am amused when we hear people talk of IPL being the sole reason for our poor performance. Were we world beaters before the IPL? IPL has been in existence for around 4 years now and our team became the top test side in these 4 years. I don’t support the IPL, but blaming everything on the IPL does not help. We have an ageing team and no attempt has been made to build a good test team, one which has a good mix of experience and youth. Further, we lost zaheer khan who was our principal wicket taker and other bowlers are very ordinary, who have neither pace nor variety in their bowling to take wickets. We don’t have spinners who can’t spin the ball. Even if were to ban IPL, our position would not change till we find bowlers who are reasonably quick and have good control and variety in their bowling and good spinners.

The Umpires,both on the field and outside were balatantly biased and anti-indian in Both Tests as well as shorter versions and all controversial decisions have gone in favour of the Hosts. is English team playing with 13 mombers and India playing with only 11 memebers??? what a shame that as usual BCCI and Indian rulers are continuing to bahave as boot-lickers and slaves of westerners, What a Shame!
