Just a month ago, some of these 'super stars' and 'captain cool' were dancing Bharatnatyam, Kathak etc. in England. Now, they are playing pull and hook against a bowler bowling over 150 kmph...that too on the front foot...!!!

Please don't insult these great forms of dancing by comparing them with the performance of the Indian team in England

I wonder what would have happened if the ECB had decided to prepare seamer-friendly pitches for India's last tour of England. Despite such wickets, a couple of Indian batsmen returned home due to broken bones.
The tour to New Zealand in 2001-2002 (I guess) when the Indians were provided with green tops - infact those pitches were greener than the outfield itself - with the likes of Shane Bond, Darryl Tuffey and Jacob Oram tormenting the Indian 'Legends' with pace, bounce and movement. ..and what fun it was...!!!!
I believe the ECB should have had provided such green-tops to the Indian team during the last tour. Only then, there shall be any justification for preparing slow, low dust bowls for this series.
What have the Indian team achieved from this 'farce'?? Revenge??!!! NO..NO...Not at all....!!! the scars of that humiliating white wash at the hands of the English will remain for a long time...because some over-inflated egos of certain Indian players took a severe beating...

Dude, dont be so ignorant :)
Let us accept that we were donkeys in England and they were donkeys here.
We know that our players r also excellent batsmen on flat pitches only and we have a very bad bowling attack overseas. Having said all that, dont insult the hard fought win by calling it fixing.

Captain Cook lost everything to Captain Cool. I've ordered 20 bags of first quality sea shells for the whitewash.

Dhoni remains unbeaten!
by onlooker on Oct 25, 2011 11:04 PM  | Hide replies

Be it in his individual innings as a batsman or in this one day series as captain. He is not out!

Young talents are coming out, underperforming seniors should be nervous now.

You are right regarding youngsters. As i can understand, gambhir is a good replacement for ganguly, kohli is on the path to replace Sachin. But i feel we still havent got the best replacements for laxman and dravid in tests. Once that is done, we can bid good bye to seniors.

Well I don't know if that statement of yours about Kohli is true (many have come in the past - first let him be better than Sehwag, then he can be better than Sachin). But yes, he has enormous talent and has a long long way to go so let us not jump to conclusions. There is no replacement for our seniors as yet. But I think the process has begun to give them a fitting and deserving farewell.
