varun aron should be provided a good guidance and facility for becoming a long standing boweler of india, otherwise he will be disappearder soon as uwe all know that there r many fast bowlers came and went from indian cricket team due to ignorance by bcci..

Need of Tall bowlers
by Brijlal Mohanty on Oct 24, 2011 04:17 PM

The best bet for India is if they can transform Ishant Sharma to a fast bowler with accuracy.

Currently he is just bowling like an amateur. But with his height if he bowls at 140km then he will be a very devastating bowler in bowler frinedly pitches. History has shown bowlers who r at least 6'4 and bowl over 140km have always dominated the batsmen more often than not!

ODIs may be u r right, but he still needs to play in tests as we all know what happened to India on the bowler friendly tracks in England without Zaheer.

do not over exaggerate Young Bowler with a ordinary pace ( 140 KMPH may be high for anIndian, its normal for a fast bowler in rest of world).

Soon his pace will come owing to day to day cricket, consistence & accuracy.

Correct. England have Finn, Bresnan, Broad, Shazad and probably a few more already who can bowl this fast. Only we get excited by seeing one bowler like this.

give chance to new young faces

By giving chances to new faces , we can find & cultivate new talents. This will keep the senior players too on their toes , as new talents will be knocking doors.

Another one to flatter and deceive soon

Before long he will run out of stamina like Srinath, RP, Irfan, Munaf, Sreesanth and the likes.
What is different with Varun from the above named? They all used to be pretty sharp when they first started playing for India.

True. Add Ishant and probably a few more I may have missed. The point is what is so special about Aaron. Even Zaheer was bowling around 90mph at some point is his career. The larger issue is how he can be helped to keep his pace up through his career like Lee, Akthar, Steyn etc and have strike rates around 30 and averages in low 20's which makes a great fast bowler.

Srinath lasted pretty well as a fast bowler.

Irfan , Munaf and Ishant ran out of steam

Rp Singh was bowling faster and faster every year. To be honest, RP singh's pace wasn't the problem. His problem was form

Wecome Varun Aaron!!!
by Bigtribe on Oct 24, 2011 03:39 PM  | Hide replies

Varun Aaron needs to be nurtured. BCCI must give him more opportunities. High time India builds up a strong team of 5-10 fast-ballers. Zaheer has been always injury prone and can’t rely on him for all seasons. India needs ballers who physically strong and are able to ball real fast.

Aaron Varun.
by Commentator on Oct 24, 2011 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

I was watching his bowling yesterday. He is a promising player and will a long career with the Indian team. Some of his weaknees is he is not able to produce that bounce which can make him a kingpin fast bowler. MacGrath, Brett Lee, Darren Gough, Dale Steyn are fast bowlers who can produce that extra bounce and swing. That is the reason they are successful bowler. For Varun, if somebody can guide, he has the capability to be one among them. Even when Ishant Sharma came to play for India, he was touted to be the fastest, but now, he is in and out of the team. So wishing all the best to Aaron Varun for his future.
