Looking at his body structure, it doesn't look like he is made for fast bowling. he is young, just 21, with lots of aggression. I really question whether can he sustain this in next 4-5 yrs?
Everyone comes with a big bang and fizzle out in 2-3 yrs.
It doesn't matter whether he is bowling 95 MPH when he is at 25 yrs (4 yrs from now), the trick is can he keep taking wickets consistently.
Unlike batting, bowling is a pretty tricky and difficult skill. But, it is lot less rewarding compared to batting.
In bowling you need to pay attention to lot of details such as consistently taking wickets, keeping fit to make sure you can bowl enough overs a day, make sure you can play at least 60-80 tests, 400-500 ODIs. In a life span of a bowler (Specially fast bowler), if he can get to this milestone, then it is considered a major achievement. Very few people in the world has done. If you do this, you will automatically get recognized. You don't need to work hard to make your name as a bowler, you really need to work hard to achieve the above goal.
This is why it is so difficult to be a bowler. You have to keep reinventing yourself all the time.
Batsman's life on the other hand is simple. Its usually its because of batsman's own mistakes they become extinct otherwise, there isn't such thing in cricket called as unforced errors, there is only few cases when we have heard ball is UNPLAYABLE. Otherwise, it is usually a bad shot, bad decision, some avoidable circumstance

Good analysis. However, one can never be sure about the body structure. I have seen some lean players consistently bowl fast for long.
Why so much hype when the guy was just about as quick as Umesh yadav. Both bowl exactly at same speeds. Umesh touched 145 mark in all the matches he played in the series. Both are lot less than what other indians have bowled. Ajit Agarkar 148 KPH Jaheer Khan 147 KPH Ashish Nehra 149 KPH ( and he was quick in 2003 WC) Sreesanth 149 KPH (has bowled 145 KPH many times) Sreenath 146 KPH (154.5 KPH unconfirmed) Ishant 152.5 KPH ( has bowled 146 many times) Even Munaf clocked 145 (before becoming 120 KPH bowler)

. There is hype because he is very young and he hold the record of fasted ball 153.9 kmph by any Indian bowler (bowled in domestic)
Above mention bowlers by you never delivered speed consistently, people believe Aroan can do that.

He looked more consistent with speed, and was bowling straight unlike most Indian bowlers. At least tail of opposition found him unplayable. Reverse swing is one of his best abilities, hope he will do much better...

he seems to very promissing though our great captain made him seat for 10 matches witout giving any chance though he had no options. (what a hitler)

it was jst d 1st match he played, and he maintained 140 each ball, how many bowlers bowled with that pace in their debut. once he will become comfortable at international level, you will see the real pace from him.

How can a supposedly failed bowler like Ajit Agarkar have the fastest 50 ODI wickets tag for over 10 years ?
Ajit was looking like the pace bowler we needed when he bowled against aussies. Even on Indian tracks he was quick and more importantly , he had massive amount of swing.
I was very excited to see him bowl. His problem however was his body. It is too too Frail. Injuries mounted and he paid the price. He should have been looked after properly by BCCI , but then again BCCI is not known to think too far ahead

U r right Sameer. He had a size zero body which suited Kareena Kapoor more than him. He was very much under weight. Though he would be hit for runs, he used to get us wickets....
Dhoni did support him but it was really good to see some one from india who is consistent with 140. It is too early to say he is a good found but lets hope!
Tim Bresnan's wicket a BIG one?? you got to be kidding...
Ashwin was the star.. just because he was doing a debut and ran through the tail on an already demoralised team is not a big feat! I think he should thank the selectors and Dhoni that he was able to do a debut under such conditions with very less pressure. I would be disappointed if as debut-ant, you don't impress under these conditions.
Still early days and already so much hopes and hypes!! Give him sometime to settle down and keep upgrading him to perform at the highest level consistently...
I think BCCI should look into some tribal area like Kalahandi Dist of Orissa, where tribal's can throw the ball at any speed in exchange of money. There are some examples few national hockey players already played from that area.

Munaf is still a a good bowler but a liability as a fielder, which is undoing him. We rarely find fast bowlers bowling good line & length from close to the stumps.
MS missed the opportunity to blood the quickie in England when all was lost.MS is not courageous captain like sourav. With injury prone zak we dont know what we are up to in down under. So by blooding yadav/aron earlu we could have achieved few yards in fast bowling.Bhaji will be of no use in down under.India should go with four fast bowlrs ZAK,ARON,YADAV,PRAVEEN,ishant.
