Real test in Australia
by cc man on Oct 18, 2011 04:06 AM  | Hide replies

Winning in India is not a big deal or testimonial to India team talent. Real test is in Australia. Who are or will be really good in pace bowling, spin bowling, batting will be known in Australia.

can't agree more on that. I'm waiting for the series down under too. But, if you see there are not many class players in the aussie side either. So, I don't think its gonna be as tough as it would have been had the likes of hayden, gilly, langer were thr in their side.

If India wins here then dead piches
by talk cool on Oct 18, 2011 02:06 AM

All Indian pitches are deal pitches? Even Harsha,Ravi all commentators keep telling this as parrots.
But how do you define dead pitches? the one which spins, the one which is varaible means dead?
Why then ICC is allowing cricket to be played here?
We shd start calling English and Aussies pitches as "pale" or something like that.

Great to see that the championship form is back
by Gurjot Singh on Oct 17, 2011 11:55 PM  | Hide replies

This England team is no match for India. They should have realized that India lost England ODI series because of bad luck. India could have easily one 3-2 with fair umpiring and if English weather had not intervened. It is great to be back in form. This also assures us that India has an abundant supply of upcoming players.

wait on dude! KP hasn't fired yet! Mathew Bell would stage a comeback and they might just give Indians a run for their money..

India will win the rubber, but a whitewash is required to avenge the awful defeats in England..

Now that, Gambhir has come into his own, they might just make it..

Dude, we live in real world, not in fantasy. To say KP hast fired, Bell is not available, Broad is injured, in conjuring up reasons for defeat. England whitewashed India, primarly because of swinging conditions. Even India had major injuries in England.

To all dudes on rediff.. In my previous comment I used the word AVENGE and NOT revenge..

No excuses for India's English debacle, but India can show England that they were no flash in the pan and how anyone will do well in their backyard..

Ok guys, some of you are too emotional.. cool it off guys.. just a game..

England lost by huge margins due to "bad luck"?? Maybe you need coaching classes on logic & analytic skills:)

@BRUNO: u say bad luck when the Victory margins are smaller and narrow...not when you get trashed by 126 runs and 8 wickets with 80 balls to spare and stop bitching about the umpiring...everyone knows how the standard of umpiring was very poor in England...
