BCCI have done big joke with Bhajji not select for England. They do not know in Asian pitches Bhajji is a Master and he also prove yesteday's CL-20 Match with taken 3 wicket.

Time to come for Captain of India for winning the matches because Dhoni has lost his luck in England. In CL also he was Zero captain. Lost 3 Matches and Chennai out of CL-20.

double standards
by Raja on Oct 10, 2011 10:37 AM  | Hide replies

How come bangalore played with both the replaced player and the original player who is in the squad. I mean both Gayle and Nannes. Gayle replaced Nannes coz he was unfit and it is not logical to play Gayle once Nannes is fit and both playing in the same team together shows unfair practice.I read today that BLR also had players worth more than they could have spend in the sense by retaining both gayle and nannes they had exceeded their total amount that can be spent...Mumbai too playing with five foreign players in earlier matches when they had 7 fit indians to play.....had the same had been done by the CSK mgmt then all wold have bashed srnivasan and the csk...

Disappointed with Tendulkar
by Ataturk on Oct 10, 2011 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

Did anyone listen to the interview with Tendulkar, when the match was going on. The interviewer was asking how good Malinga was, how he takes crucial wickets at the beginning and at the end...etc? But Tendulkar didn't even bother to say one word in praise of Malinga. All he said was, it was Malinga's job and appreciated Harbhajan for giving 3 overs for Malinga at the beginnning etc... Hearing that was odd. One should learn to appreciate others, even if he is from other countries. That was pretty shallow from Tendulkar.

What exactly are you trying to say? Why on earth should tendulkar praise Malinga(who has a dubious action to begin with). Harbhajan was brilliant as captain, and he showed his critics today that dropping him from india was a poor decision. Anyone can have 1-2 bad series. But this series he led from the front, and showed what a fighter he is

As we know, ICC has 2 standards, 1 towards India/Pak/SL and 1 for the rest of the world.

Sandeep, the problem here is not with Harbhajan. Its with giving credit when it is due (especailly when you are someone with high visibility). Malinga doesn't have a dubious action, he has a unique one. ICC cannot do anything about his action, as it is within the laws of the game. As long the elbow is straight, it is good. This is the same rule which Greg Chappel took advantage during the notorious under-arm incidient. THere also the elbow was straight. Coming back to our discussion, people like Tendulkar should not be short-sighted to acknowledge and give credit to others.

Sit in front of his house and protest..... Call BCCI and lodge a complaint against him. Call NDTV and raise a debate why he has become so short sighted....

If Sachin was there you would have never reached semis.
by Kumar Guru on Oct 10, 2011 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

Good Sachin was not there, If Sachin was there you would have never reached semis.
Sachin would have scored coupule of hundreds and increase his personal records, but Mumbai would have lost.
Sachin is a personal player, he is excellent player like many of his better peers but is not outstanding and the best. He is more of media creation and commentators like Sunil and Shastri.

Sachin should deliver on big matches - i.e., semifinals and finals. Tell the record of Sachin in Semis and Finals on all world cups. Come one! Grow up! He was always good in the preliminary round where there is less pressure! He always buckles under pressure! Saying so, I don't discredit his contributions otherwise.

majority of that highest score came when the matches were against SA and Eng on flattest of pitches more than half of his total world cup score came in those 2 matches which we did not win anyway and still we reached finals and there he failed again under pressure of big occasion like it happens very often. when going is good and pitch is flat he makes big scores like against SA and Eng and when slightest of pressure comes he fails like he failed even against netherlands and ireland. even in finals he failed under pressure...

Sachin gr8 but not so gr8 captain

I think presence of Sachin on the field is a game change over. However he should desist from captainship as time as again it has proved to be his weakness.
