its good one. but i think parthiv is missing inspite of doing well in english conditions n when he has experience of ausis pitches.

n i wonder y pujara another one who did well against ausis is not in the team! still no lessons learnt from eng tour.

Yes, Parthiv and Pujara should have been included but I think Rohit Sharma is also a talented guy. Saha was not that good, comparing to Parthiv.

Bhajji is a fighter unlike Ashwin...
by Adaksh AA on Nov 26, 2011 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

Whi just threw the match today towards a draw...

And moreover on such a spin frndly wkt on the last 2 days, any mediocre spinner cud have got wkts that too against a deplorable side as WIs...

All the southies want Bhajji to be excluded...No problem u m0r0ns... Am sure Ashwin will be out in Australia itself and make way for the king....

Bhajji is useless just like the moron sardar PM. The guy is not even getting wickets in domestic cricket, forget about test matches.

I agree Raju. Bhajji is not at all fit now. Ashwin is much more talented than Bhajji. Just see the Ranji matches domestic in same pitches of Mumbai/Kolkatta and see Bhajji will not get wickets.

hey u mahej saoji...just watch out!!U JUST CANT COMPARE BHAJJI & ASHWIN.. BHAJJI IS STILL A GR8 bowler....his best performance comes against Australia... he is a experienced player and should not be ignored for Australia tour as Australia have got gr8 batsman who can bat sensibly and for getting them out u need a experienced n aggressive player like bhaji who can get batsan out...i agree that he is not getting wickets but he will surely make a comeback...my verdict is that bcci has taken a very wrong decision by not including him and India will definitely be whitewashed by Australia

How many times did Harbhajan took 9 wickets in a match, when he played here itself (spinner friendly wickets) with weak teams like New Zealand,Bangladesh? Dont be rascist.

Correct . Where is the quota for Punjab the progressive state of India. You shd also look at it from the angle of non - inclusion of a sikh when the PM of the country is a Sikh.

Ashwin would'nt have got to where he is without a fighting spirit. It was 2 south guys Ashwin and Ojha who created this opportunity, helped by the West Indian batsmen. I did'nt want to bring regionalism into this, but 22 wickets in a debut series is a fine performance. Bhajji is a great competitor, but he has been in the team on reputation too long. Fact is, Bhajji has struggled since Kumble retired. He has'nt been able to step up. That said, you cannot trash a man with 400 Test wickets. This is a challenge for Bhajji. Let's see how he responds.

We seen how he bowls in the domestic matches itself, forgot the International match. 2 Wickets from 3 matches at 102 Bowling Avg.

What your m0r0n Bhaji did in Sydney 2008, when he just need to stay with Anil Kumble for ONLY 3 overs to save the Test, he was OUT, Same in his home Pitch in Mohali, when chasing lessthen 200 Target itself in his home turf who couldn't win it for India. Ashwin at least made sure India didn't lost the match like we did in Sydney 2008.

Awesome team selection. And I am glad selectors didn't listen to that idiot Ravi Shastri, ho kept crying for Harbhajan to be selected. I hope I never get to listen to Shastri again as commentator..

but dont forget bcoz of bajji only last year india could save first test against kiwis and win the series, who could forget that 2001 series against aussies.About yuvi bcoz of him india managed to win worldcup 2011 and t20 worldcup? But why little master is not being dropped when dravid and ganguly were dropped?only match winning knock in his22 year career wasin sharjah in 1998.

Re: Re: SELECTION

Fact remains that Bhajji has not been so great with the ball for quite some time. You know there is something wrong if tail-end West Indies players routinely tonk you for six. With regards to the little master, he has been there on sheer weight of performance. And cricket requires a team effort, no matter what people say, so this match-winning knock stuff is nonsense. By the way, Tendulkar has quite a few match-winning knocks to his credit. The problem is that whenever Tendulkar played a big innings, quite a few of the rest came up short. Remember what happened during World Cup in South Africa? Tendulkar, Sehwag and Gambhir gave a good start and the rest of the team folded losing 7 wickets for 29 runs. How do you blame Tendulkar for that?
