I think the selectors have done an excellent job.Like srikanth, i also feel this team will do better and win the series.

I don't think so. It all depends on who wins the first game. And aussies are going to come really hard at us and make sure that we chicken out in the rest of the series.

wat a joke? Australian pitches will be fast n bouncy.Sachin will not get a tailor made wkt there to complete 100th 100.Mumbai pitch was designed for Sachin's hundred but WI scored 590 and Ashwin 100.(but not Sachin). How long you will make wkts to let Sachin score a hundred.Australia will make him bleed

india always has trouble overseas. it will take time to aclimatise.
my advice is go all out to win first Test ! this will decide outcome of series. bcos if they lose oz will just roll them in next ones.

also indian new players should watch video of past tests..no use crying aaah..bounce is different etc.
try to make solid starts..indian middle order has always done well in oz.
Harbhajan should have been included against oz. ozzies dont like him.
Srikanth, just include Bhajji as standby

also oz has all new bowlers. when indians faced oz debuatant bowlers they alwaaaaaaaaaaays get scREwed!
it will halfway through series before they get used to these new oz bowlers and ofcourse pitches..by that time outcome of series will be decided.

Why Dinesh Karthik was not selected. He is the best keeper of the present.

present australian team is not all that competitive..so India might be able to beat them..But the real australian might was shown when Hayden,Gilchrist, symonds under the captaincy of the gr8 Ponting..Now the team is all diluted... so no fun..

Now it will be fun. As now it will be an equal fight even when mentioned mights were there in Australia team we have beaten them in perth barring that shameful Sydney test. Than we beat them in commonwealths series with an inexperienced team. It's we who started their downfall

Far better Indian sides in terms of competency and commitment have not won a series at best they drew series . Scoring in Indian pitches and scoring in Australia is different ball game.spinners can make hay in Indian conditions .The only chance is Australia is playing terribly now , Expect Johnsson to come in abig way - great players will not have bad time for long .Barring a very few Indian players who will do well , do not expect miracles.Srikant has to make such statements ,he is paid for this.

Stop Dreaming Chikka, don't underestimate Aussies. They are definitely not easy to beat like West Indies. And most importantly Indians will be playing on Australian hard bouncy soil against crowd support.

Robin Uthapa's non inclusion is a surprise. I would rate him better than Kohli.

Do you know any thing aboutcricket? Uthappa is not a test match batsman. He is only fit for T 20. That too he has failed now. If Uthappa is considered for Test Match, even Raina could have been selected ahead of him. Uthappa is technically ill equipped to play in Australia. I think you may belong to Karnataka.

I think Srikkanth had loads of them to play for India when he was playing. Else how would one justify his inclusion in Indian test team for 9 years with no major contribution from him. Gavaskar and Kapil went gaga with Sri around and no one bothered what he did with the bat.

Dude, it not srikkant the selector but srikkant the batsman..how else can one comprehend his tenure as a test batsman for 9 years with no telling contributions with the bat - either match saving or match winning (I mean only test matchs). He was a great one day player though..that got carried over so he could also play a lot of test matches in those days.....nothing to blame Srikkant as a selector....

by poovalai ravikumar on Nov 26, 2011 08:57 PM

Series is completed after a nile biting finish.
Now let we talk about tendulkar.
Legend bradman test average is 99
great Tendulkars centuries are 99
One is retired. Other is struggling to get three figure mark. These both legend and great
leave as it as 99 or great will hit 100. we have to wait and see
