Indian tailendors have been scoring tons in last couple of years
by subrata banerjee on Nov 25, 2011 03:17 PM  | Hide replies

Do we remember how HARBHAJAN SINGH made a solid ton when India was destined to loose the match, but ended with exciting win. Next time again the same HARBHAJAN SINGH scored a century which again saved India from certain defeat and ended in draw. In last couple of years bowlers like Zaheer khan, Kumble, and definitely undaunting HARBHAJAN SINGH score huge huge runs when Indian cricket team had been gasping for oxygen. So, Aswin has not done any great job, but yes, a memorable one in his carrer. But we need to see what aswin can do on the foreign soil where HARBHAJAN, KUMBLE, ZAHEER,SREE NATH proved their supremacy for a long time and helped india to perform positively.
We can remember how Dilip mendis of Srilanka started his internatio nal carrer with his typical CARRAM BALL, which bagged many wickets in a very small time. But what is his fate right now? He is out of the team because of his continuous bad performance. So we should think twice to stamp a spin bowler great where INDIAN SPIN LEGENDS are a great history in the cricket books. Just think the performacnes of the recent time most successful spin bowlers like Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. How many times they bundeled out the opponent with small score which indian batsmen reached and surpassed easily to win the match? So Aswin has to go a long way. See how long he lasts with his present performacne.

The above mentioned Guys Harbhajan, Zaheer, Kumble, Sreesanth all come to know to this world after getting a chance with National Team. So, if anything needs to be happen, then they should give chance to others. Keeping Harbajan singh for the next 5yrs not gonna benefit India. India is the land of youngsters, where Cricket is a religion. There is only one mantra, perform or perish. If you are not there, then there are 100's of harbhajan in domestic circuits, we can give them a chance to prove their talents. This is what the current Situation of Indian Cricket.
In 1980, Indian team was dependent on one particular bowler or batsman. Now almost every one in the Indian team is bowling and all bowlers are batting, so if Bajji not performing we cant look back at the old track records and say, he will again prove himself. If he had that guts, first ask him prove in Domestic Circuits and then we think of International. Its the same for all Indian players, Legendry batsmans Dravid, Sachin also went through the purple patch. But they proved in Domestic and got the international call. Bajji is no great when compared to the above players.

"India is a land of youngsters"? What are you trying to say?

If you mean only young players should play in team in Indian cricket team then by that criteria all players above thirty should not be selected in the Indian team.

THANK GOD.. Sachin dint score hundred today.. the 100th hundred against a weak WI on a dead batting paradise in his favourable home conditions would have been a huge spoiler. 10 yrs down the line, The 100th hundred against Australia in Australia will sound hundred times bettr than the hundred in these conditions
