is a only qualification of Gambir to get more chances, even if he failed so many times... north indian media are also giving more importance to this guy... he is not having any rights to criticize Ashwin

Ashwin should donate
by Jalim Jallad on Nov 25, 2011 05:44 PM

Ashwin should donate his century to SRT; after all he is only a bowler and wont need to have records of centuries under his belt. On the contrary, SRT has been trying soooooo hard for that elusive century since the last so many months; therefore in all fairness Ashwin should donate that century to his fellow team mate and spare the nation the pain of anxious wait for somany days.

Scandal and cricket are synonyms
by dipesh kumar on Nov 25, 2011 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

All Cricket fans- do read about a (seemingly) scandal unearthed.
Guess what is common between Jadeja/Azhar/Ganguly/Sachin, apart from the fact they were all team mates during dark period of Indian cricket, tainted with match fixing scandal, of 1996-2000. Azhar has confesed to CBI that he uses to fix match with help of Jadega and Mongia. But there is more to this story. The data of those times give a worse picture. Let me give some details about what I am talking about. The records shows that another common thing about the famous four is abnormally high number of their Stumped out in the 4 year period (96-2000) for all of them. Maximum no. of (70-90%) of stumped out for these gentlemen were in this period only./t Ajay Jadeja (5 out of 6 times stumped in 4 years) played for total 8 years(’92-2000). /n Azhar (6 out of total 9 times stumped in 4 years) played for total 15 years(’85-2000). /n Ganguly (7 out of 11 times stumped in 4 years) played for total 15 years(’92-2007) . /n SachinTendulkar (8 out of 11 times stumped in 4 years) playing for 22 years.. How come sachin got 8 times stumped in 4 years and only 3 times in another 18 years.. This smells like a rat. With Kambli claiming ’96 semifinal fixed adding up the data, it seems like a big scandal..

there must be pressure from sardar lobby of punjab cricket association to keep bhajji in team in britain tour on the contrary britain team avoid sardar monty panesar even if monty draw cardiff test against astralia see the thinking logic of selection committees

Now Ashwin becomes a batsman
by LOL on Nov 25, 2011 03:41 PM

With this century Ashwin will boast himself as a batsman much like Ravi Shastri did earlier. We wish and pray that Ashwin continues to be just a spinner as we have too many batsmen in the Indian team~

Please at least praise Ashwin who did this milestone in his debut series instead of lamenting for other failures

HOW LONG TENDULKAR WILL BE ALLOWED TO SCORE NEXT TON?
by subrata banerjee on Nov 25, 2011 03:32 PM  | Hide replies

Master blaster tendulkar will remain in the hearts of indian fans as one of the great batsmen, But how long he should be given chances, just to make the 100th tons? If he continues to fail to score a ton, will he be selected in indian team even his fitness does not stand fairly good. Yes, it is quite evident that sachin is no more a sparkling fielder on the ground, certainly because of his old age. But this is not fair to select him in indian team just to help him to complete his 100th tons.

Banerjee:

If scoring tons (94 not good enuf) is the criteria then except Ashwin everyone else needs to be dropped.

What else Sachin has to do to convince you? Please dont make any comments for the sake of it. He can be selected as long as he scores and contribute for the team's sucess
