Is the pitch made for Sachin? In that case Sehwag must score 200, Ghambir 150 and Dravid 170.or atleast all of them should make 100's. Lets see...u dumbo

KM VB:

No. The pitch was made for Bravo's ton and his 1000 runs.

for some reaspn, I sense the IPL attitude in him..the ability to take wickets only when the batsman want to give it away..i think he needs a lot more skill and determination to get to the level of warne and murali..even if he cant spin the ball much..he should try getting to the level of kumble and swann who didnt turn the ball much, but with their variation and bounce, turned out to be extremely successful..

So you want Ashwin - one person - to be like Warene, Murali, Kumble and Swann. Wow!!! what a motivational thought!!! If you ever have a son or daughter, I wonder what not you will ask them to become... LOL!!

its too early to comment on pitch for you ashwin...
i think ashwin is pretty impressive but he should not feel cheated instead he should take it as a match practice before australian tour...
if ashwin want to be a just mediocre spinner then its ok,
but
if you wan't to be a legand like murali, warne and kumble he shouldn't be complaining about pitch...
they got more than 800, 700, 600 wickets respectively and we all know they perform on flattest pitches also...
we have seen murali and warne turn ball almost two feet on flat pitches...
and if you say about turn and bounce,
do you remember how many lbw wickets taken by kumble without turn and bounce...
and lastly one thing to learn from legands,
they didn't talk much instead they work hard and do what they do better, ex- sachin, murali, lara, kallis...

This is the typical indian mentality. People don't take the honest opinions in right spirit.
Even a debutant can speak about the wicket.
If the reporter asks Ashwin to talk about the wicket, what do you expect him to answer?
He is also a hard-worker. Don't forget he has taken 4 out of 9 wickets. When, only one has to be picked out of Aaron and Umesh, Umesh will be picked as he has taken more wickets. Selectors won't consider about the pitch. These kind of wickets are career spoilers for new comers.
I honestly feel it is made for Sachin to finish his most hyped 100th 100 but at the end boomeranged.(I am also a sachin mad. But still that is my humble opinion about the pitch)

i support you ramesh, Ashwin and Varun were very straight with media and quite impressive. Fans want these men to be apolgetic and not practical. MCA prepared wkt for SRT and no shame for they want him to score it at home, but they let down test cricket.

To me Ramesh's comment shows typical Indian mentality, to support anything Indian players say-? Some said (above) that Ashwin want to take the wickets like he did in IPL but it is test cricket-test of everything including patience. I sport Vasant's views about test cricket.

What is wrong in calling a spade a spade? If the pitch is bad, it has to be talked about. What is wrong in that? Ashwin is not cribbing or finding reasons for not picking wickets. He has taken 4 out of 9 wickets, and bowled 54 overs at a pretty decent economy. So, he knows more about the pitch than Vasant and Mohit and anybody on this forum. He has just expressed what he personally felt about the pitch. I support ramesh and Sarvam.
