SRT Performance

Let's fashionably blame the loss to SRT...as the collapse started after he departed!!!

Note: SRT bashers claiming that he doesn't play in crisis...should note that crisis starts after he departs (even after him scoirng a 50 or 100 ..if he gets out...the crisis starts)...when he wins matches for India...bashers don't realize the importance of the inning & claim..it was too easy as there was no crisis!!!!
Its a team game & one individual can not always win a match for a team...2003 WC Final was lost not due to SRT failure but bowlers failure in allwong 350 runs...whereas fortunately 2011 WC final was won despite his failure in the final!! (we have more winners in the team now instead of one man show)

India chose to field first in this match, since in the previous meeting at Kotla, Prabhakar's career had been ended by Jayasuriya and kaluwitharna's onslaught, when he was forced to bowl off spin in front of his home crowd in Delhi, in only his 2nd over.

So that decision had a lot to do with events in Delhi.

Kambli's grouse is that he was standing in the middle and yet the Indian crowd thought the match was over after Azhar and Jadeja; the hero against Waqar Younis in the previous match got out. The fact that the Indian crowd had no belief in his ability to turn things around are what has lulled him into rationalizing all sorts of scenarios.

And if Azhar says this one was'nt fixed, then he must be believed since he knew all the ones that were.

Azharuddin is Invantor of Match Fixing Hensi Croney was Victim
by Bhajiya on Nov 21, 2011 11:05 AM  | Hide replies

Azharuddin admitted in CBI enquiry that he fixed matches in connivance with Ajay Jadeja, Ajay Sharma, and Nayan Mongia during CBI investigation. BCCI appointed Madhavan Committee also acknowledge this fact that Azharuddin has admitted his guilt of match fixing.

he introduce Mukesh Gupta Punter to Hensi Croney a South African Captain to promote match fixing but he was caught on Delhi Police Audio Tape Recording talking to Mukesh Gupta.

This is enough evidance to fix Azharuddin but he is enjoying Member of Parliament status.

India is nation of foolish people and croocks....Now Digvijay Singh is advocating propoganda for Azharuddin

Definitely fishy...
by Rajeev Venkat on Nov 21, 2011 10:56 AM  | Hide replies

The match was definitely not normal.... If you see the guys with impeccable character still performed form btoh sides. Tendulkar, Manjrekar, Srinath, Kumble, Ranatunga, De Silva... All the suspicious characters failed completely. Azhar, Jadeja, Ashish Kapoor, Mongia - All of them were charged for Fixing.

Whatever Azhar may say, no logic justifies batting second. Sachin is silent (as expected), Manjrekar is justifying it as a 'Bad Decision' to avoid controversy, Kumble, Srinath would never give their version. So Azhar stands vindicated because he is a Congress MP today, no one wants another controversy.

Its a known fact that Azhar made Money disproportionate to his earnings. There is no doubt about it.... Cronje named him, what else do you need to know that the guy is a Shady Character.

What about WC11 final and semi-final
by Paresh Padhye on Nov 21, 2011 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

1996 WC SF is 12 years old now. What about WC11 final and semi-final. The ease with which India won these two matches also demands investigation. Final was like dream come true. Too good to belive. India cruising easily with captain hitting six to win the match. Shane Warne has predicted even before WC started that SF will be between India and Pakistan and final between India and SL. May be 12 years from now someone from this team will reveal the truth. Best option is stop watching cricket. No point is wasting time to watch fixed matches
