BCCI saved yuvraj from more embarrassment
by D S on Nov 20, 2011 05:09 AM

yuvi has to do something else, BCCI saved yuvraj from more embarrassment.

Gambhir tighten your belt because Rahane is waiting otherwise you will be shown the door like kohli was from test.

Gauti is not doing badly. His issue is with Injuries. In Fact Viru-Gauti Combo is hampered by injury troubles. Rahane is a good back up and can also be a good Middle Order player

Let us focus that Yuvi is dropped only from test side and not from ODI or T20. The test team needs players who can have patience in tons. Second, we should definitely open places for new breeds in the team. If anyone batsmen has to be dropped to try some youngster for batting, then it has to be Yuvi and who else it could be. If he had made very big score, no one will dare to drop him, is it not? Umesh Yadav got a chance and he grabbed the chance with both hands. Teams have to evolve over time only this way, and not with a permanent playing eleven. Venkatarajan

He has a big middle leg hence the problem
by cool on Nov 19, 2011 08:54 PM  | Hide replies

THe problemwith Yuvi is that he can never play well on the back foot. Back foot requries both the legs close together but yuvi has a big middle leg which makes it impossible for him to shift back and play hence his weakness to the short ball. I am sure someone who has done it with him can testify here on rediff and let everyone know

Not Fit for Test

Playing a Test match needs some abilities which Yuvraj does not possess. No doubt he is good ODI & T20 player, but he was never fit for Test cricket.

Please mind it that we won the world cup (ODI & T20 ) Where Yuvi's contribution was above average & He is the only batsman in india who can hit any kind of delivery for a six at his will

Yuvi and Raina. Make these Guys wear Coloured Clothing for Test Matches. That should solve the problem. Both of them do not bat well when they are wearing the Test Whites.
