Forget Tendya. Unless he performs consistently with big hundreds from now onwards to end of Australia tour and increase his test average more than 58, he wont be regarded as next to bradman. Because Kallis and Sangakkara are catching up with more hundreds and test averages. And they have few more years of cricket

u r right Ccman.Kallis and Sanga got quantity as well as quality of runs while Sachin got only quantity.Just wondering which Sachin inning could be compared to Sangas 277 last week.

Sorry For disrespecting kallis and Sanga by comparing them with Sachin.Both are true MatchWinners.

The photo looks like VVS Laxman to me. Please do justice to atleast the name of this special cricketer who is lost in a galaxy of glamor and superstars in own team. Someone correct me if I'm wrong naming the cricketer in the front foto in the article.

Ok Sunil. I stand corrected. Probably the height is a give-away; VVSL is a shade taller. In the match reports I read that Sammy etc shook hands with VVSL and hence the confusion. Thanks.

Even in Aus, Mike Hussey does not get the same media coverage as Ponting or Clarke. In SA also Kallis and Amla dont get the same coverage as say A B deVilliers or G Smith.

Right Mahesh. In VVSL's case he was even dropped from the team multiple times during Ganguly era I think. After Kumble came on scene as captain, VVSL's place was permanent, and Dhoni has been good to keep it that way.
