Reasons: 1.Tendya not coming down the order to make the middle order balanced 2.MI does not have good bowling attack like chennai 3.MI does not have good match winners like chennai 4.not using symonds well 5.Tendya not playing power cricket like chennai batsmen,gayle,marsh,raina etc
No offense- his captaincy showed lack of sensible maturity. He made the same mistake in IPL-3, allowing Harbhajan and not Pollard batting at number 3. Is it selfishness or immaturity? He says that he doesn't go for records but does his words speak louder than his actions- Whoops...I think I answered my question!
MI loss is loss for all mumbaikars. MI lost the finals last yr and now this loss , all Bcoz of bad decisions by the MI captain. Sachin is a good player BUT not a good Captain. The God of cricket cant save his team from loss. Hope MI change their captain for next season.

Well poor captaincy and focus on his batting more than making sure the team is tested and has combos right. Very few people in the country understand what captaincy is. They still think best tailor is the best minister. Pathetic.

There is nothing like good captain or bad captain. If it were so then good or the so called the best captains would have never lost a game. Gambhir made a valid remark during this IPL, ' There are no or never been great captains, only the great teams consisting of great performers". This is the FACT.
You will find certain people hyping players of lesser cricketing skills for their captaincy.
Remember, IPL is to give chance to upcoming Indian players to show their skills....so unless you put them against best, they will never learn anything new.
Hence I am glad that Sachin did so all throughout IPL..just like when he gave Nechem first over...Nachim could not delivered ( like Zaheer in 2003 WC) but this may make him a better bowler like Zaheer in coming years.

Guys ! Let's read it very simple. When ur team is winning u wl be praised by one & all & vice versa. Whatever could be the reason, but MSD has led / given India all that we as cricker crazy fans expect from Team India or IPL. Even the great old players of India & overseas praise for achievments the team has under his captaincy, then why can't we, as he is our very own man. When someone is doing good, let's support him to make our team invincible by anyone & anywhere. Has anyone heard MSD makng any big or fancy statements. He himself praises his team for the feats achieved. He never says, it's his achievements. Why r we reading him wrong ? Encourage the team guys !!!
every world cup, only sachin wants india to win world cup, he only performs, but cricket needs to perform with unity it lacks in indian team. but strange, this time, all the indian players want to win the world cup for sachin. SO INDIA WON. still sachin is highest scorer in world cup

yes, but you can never change handful of posters here whose sole aim is to malign Sachin, although unsuccessfully. There is two players Sachin and Warne who have been the best among best in all forms of cricket: test, odi, and T20. They are the greatest ever batsman and bowler.

Instead of critcising Sachin, Calling Dhoni lucky blah blah blah... why dont we accept the fact that GAYLE played exceptionally well. Lets be honest and accept that the MI team did not play well after the initial 8-10 matches whereas the other teams (incl KXIP and Deccan) improved as the tournament progressed.
Credit to Gayle, Dhoni, Raina, Zaheer, Hussey who have been consistent and hence their teams are playing in the finals.

to bowl against best batsmen you should use your best bowler(Malinga),if u'll use domestic class bowler for opening spell against player like Chris gayle then he'll demolish you and give his team momentum they reqd,that's what happened against Kochi bowler who was hammered for 37runs,Sachin might be a world's best batsmen but he'll have lot to learn abt captaincy from Dhoni.

hahaah. ronny, u hv to learn lot. ganguly learnt the captaincy from sachin. dhoni learnt the captaincy from sachin, ganguly, dravid. dhoni never took individual decisions. so far he got success under the guidance of experienced players. now he became very popular.

really. the y chennai lost against MI. HAHAHAHAH. IPL FIXED TO CHENNAI under srikanth guidance.. Ronny learn cricekt first. ganguly was great captain, when sachin is in good form. when sachin was injuries, he lost the captaincy and place in team. punter was great captain, when gilchrist, grath, warne retired, he lost the captaincy too. hehehehe

Agree sir.. But also the fact remains that Pollard, Symonds, Satish, Davy Jacobs have not performed AT ALL. Rohit, Raydu have performed in few matches initially. Malinga hardly picked wickets in the last 3-4 matches. Only decent performances were from Malinga, Tendulkar and Munaf. Its a team failure coupled with defensive strategy and captaincy. One cannot blame captaincy alone. If that was the case, RR (Warne), Deccan (Sanga) and KXIP (Gilchrist) would have made it to the playoffs. MI peaked too early and got complacent. Simple

@Apte you r correct...but one thing i cannot understand,Pollard didnt performed in all 16 matches,he should be transferred to OPL(Orissa premier league)to tune up his batting skills.

do you know the word ' contribution'? He contributed to team in many ways, though he could not performed with as expected. main culprit is Rohit sharma who after being included in the Indian ODI team, stopped contributing to team.
