MI reached finals in IPL 2010 purely because Pollard was in great form & he single handedly took the team to finals. But teams with individual performance never win the title.
Only best captain MI had was Shaun Pollock during IPL 2008, when he was leading MI due to Sachin's injury. He really got the best performance from young MI players alongwith his own leading performance. But when Tendulkar came back as captain, MI started losing again & missed Semi-Final berth.
We need better captain for MI. With Sachin, MI & Ambanis can only dream of winning IPL.

billu is fit for barber job only. MI won 12 out of 16 match they played in IPL-3. MI won 10 out of 16 match the played in IPL-4. Sachin was ornage cap in IPL-3 & 2nd highest scorer in IPL-4. Reach in final in IPL-3 & S/F in IPL-4. Now billu get urself checked with Dr.
It has been proved that without Gayale RCB could not have made it to final. If Gayale can repeat the innings of yesterday, I am sure RCB will take the cup home today ! All the best to you Crish Gayale, the great entertainer !!
With Sachin Tendulkar captaining, MI will never be able to win IPL. He is great batsman no doubt but with a very poor poor leadership skills.
Things Tendlya did wrong again: 1) Choosing Abu Nechim on this slow wicket was poor decision. Ali Murtaza or any other spinner would have sensible choice. Or else Dhawal Kulkarni should have played.
2)Flopstar Keiron Pollard should have been dropped and Davy Jacobs should have given a chance.
3) Winning a toss & bowling first on this turning wicket was very ordinary decision. Very defensive skills.
4) Giving first over to Abu Nechim took the initiative away from MI. Agarwal was on strike to face first ball but what if he had taken a single very first ball. Was Tendulkar thinking Agarwal will play Nechim's first over quietly & will keep Gayle off strike?
4) With expected Gayle thunderstorm, Malinga & Munaf should have started bowling from the outset.
5) Fielding placement during powerplay was very poor contributed by lethargic fielding in crucial match.
6) Though MI bowlers tried their best to control the situation when the ball got old, still anything over 165 was too much for this unpredictable MI batting side.
7) Blizzard failed & Bhajji sent in as pinch-hitter was ok but Pollard should have come after Bhajji got out. Giving him ample overs to bat & regain his confidence. Rohit Sharma slowed things & match slipped away.

Dude.did i abuse him? take it in a lighter vein..the kind of words u use suggest that u r an idiotic moron.
MI lost due to poor captsincy of sachin.1)won the toss elected to field on a pitch where teams in this IPL have won 6 out of 7 matches, batting first.2)sent pollard @ 7, & committed the same mistake as in the final of IPL 3, when pollard was sent with MI needing 50 runs in 20 balls, & finished around 18 runs short. 3)sachin is so obsessed with himself, that he does not discuss plans or strategy with any other of his players, a complete reveresal of vettori who planned every move discussing with kohli, gayle, zaheer,& devilliers, & achieved success.4) a mystery as to why symonds was not played in the last few matches & sachin(every decision of team selection is left to the God, robin sing & pollack are coaches for name sake) persisted with an out of form pollard. as sherry paji said sachin in the last few matches was only interested in getting the orange cap,& batted in non 20-20 style to the detriment of MI. anyway MI was not a team fit for the final, only had malinga,& rohit sharma for winning matches.

This world cup was 2011 won by
Yuvi,Sehwag,Gauti,Zaheer...All
these were mentored by Dada who has
been ill treated for such enormous contribution whereas S achin has mostly concentrated on his personal records and some time selfishly at the cost of team..
Full of filthy money, half clad cheer leaders dancing and late night party bash. Can we call it cricket???
It can never match world cup stature...
Real heros of world cup like Yuvi,Sehwag,Gauti...are not success in IPL goes to show that it is hardly acricket but more of Tamasha where money, sexy women abd crass bollywood is on display...if it continues it would destroy the sporting spirit of cricket....
MAny useless cricketers like Uthappa who earned 9 crores for scoring 10-15 runs per match for Sahara Pune Warriors has ripped apart his frenchise money...it is criminal waste of money!!!!
sad to see he wont tour wi....he gives all for ipl which is a waste, nobody cares if MI or any other team wins, this is cricket not football and hence international cricket should take priority
