he should be selected..when he performs in IPL they considers domestic performance and when he flopped in ipl, they will consider IPL performance..this is kris srikkanth policy as usual vijay will come in

Srikant is a CSK guy, so he obviously will consider IPL as benchmark. Uthapa has done well and is more talented than others. But BCCI thinks otherway round. Kick this selectors out!

One thing all of you forget is Captain Dhoni wins trophies and the selection committee cannot be blamed. It need a continuous flops for change in selection of team. And we can play only 11 players. There are many talented than uthappa. Remember Rohit Sharma was not selected in last world cup for having just 1 bad season. It is sport and not politics. To see things in a positive way you must have a positive frame of mind.

Shrikanth is a biased selector. Uthappa is abetter openeer and also a stand by WK. But politics in cricket always spoils the game.like MSD has a very special choice for Chawla bei it goood or bad but cant help such things as MSD is a ICON. We need some strong man to head the selection board.

if u talk like that then yes he should be bias..how many years only mumbai players played in indian cricket?? many other were left..its every one involved in politics not one..whole system is bias
All these players whr unfit before & after IPL, coz they get 3-5Crore yearly(in 12months) with thr BCCI contract & the 2-5Crore plus(in 2 months) @ IPL. Simple funda get money & forget nation. The selectors r also hopeless (K Shrikant) as the seleted the hopeless ppl like Badrinath & R Shah who r gd for nothing....& left the real talent like Varun aaron, Uthappa, S Tiwari(KKR), Iqbal Abdulla & many more....Friends just thnk.....

Who is R Shah ? Badrinath wasn't picked on his IPL form but because he was the highest scorer in domestic ODIs . He has been excelling in domestic cricket for the last few years and he truly deserves his chance . Uthappa could have been given another chance but he hasn't been consistent this year . Tiwari has done nothing of note in Ranji , domestic OD s or IPL ; so he needs to buck up . Varun Aaron is an exciting talent but he is too raw . He needs to play more first class matches and get battle hardened otherwise he might suffer from playing international cricket too early . Abdulla has played well this year but he has quite a few competitors ahead of him . He'll have to prove himself better than P Ojha and Amit Mishra if he wants to be the third spinner in the side . I personally think he has the talent and the bonus batting ability to make it soon to the team . Finally I'll take a guess that" R Shah " refers to Ravi Jadeja . Just see his domestic and IPL performance this year . He has hauled himself back into contention . He is not in the team to WI though .

Why u should select players based on useless IPL performance and why not Ranji?
cricket, cricket world cup , test series no rest than IPL what a blunder BCCI is doingtheir ist priority seems to be IPL only just leave country behind if the position is to remain the same sports ministry should select another team to represent India and not the BCCI who is spoiling the next generation cricketers.

i agree with your comments.. Playing for Country is secondary thing for them since they got enough money from IPL. now one by one will tell excuses to take rest.. This IPL will spoil Indian cricket.
