'Hey if Ganguly can do it anybody can do it'...that sounds a bit sarcastic dont you think Mr Crowe??Well,Mr Crowe....if you can get your arrogant, overweight and overrated dumbass out of retirement and back to competitive cricket,I think even people like Clive Lloyd and Richie Benaud can cream of an international comeback!!

Exactly, its an example. He will sound sarcastic if you look at it negatively.

What if he means that Ganguly actually motivates him? And so does Shane Warne?

IT`S SHOCKING TO LEARN THAT MC WANTS TO COME BACK ON THE PRETEXT THAT IF GANGULY CAN DO WHY CAN`T HE? MR.CRORE GANGULY 37 U R 50 . IF BY THAT LOGIC A 63 YRS OLD WOULD ALSO WNAT 2 COM BACK ..SO WOULD ONE WITH 77 YRS. OLD..SO MR.CROWE U CAN`T SWIM , CAN`T RUN ..U CAN NOT ALSO PLAY CRICKET AT HIGHEST LEVEL..IF U R COMING OUT OF HIBERNATION WATCHING BIG BUCKS IN IPL (IT APPEARS SO ) I M SORRY 2 SAY U WOULD NOT BOUGHT FOR A PENNY IN THE IPL..SO DON`T TAKE SUCH A FOOLISH DECISION IN HASTE..JUST RETHINK....ALL THE BEST ..I DON`T THINK IT WILL WORK THIS TIME..

He is taking Ganguly as an example. Not making fun of him.
And if I were to compare Ganguy and Crowe, Crowe was a far better fielder, batsman and supremely fit until he got the knee injury.
It is wrong to compare Ganguly and Crowe as they played during different times. However, remember that Crowe played some of the best bowlers and all rounders of all time and played them really well.

If Crowe is inspired by Ganguly he could have made comment in a different way.But his comments are totally uncalled for.He has always been a critic of Ganguly & also raised questions about his captaincy before 2003 world cup.Ganguly doen't say any bad things about anybody but people still try to pull his legs. It's difficult to understand.

Martin Crowe

He has a habit of degrading Indians and Indian Captains. He once humiliated Kapil Dev(got the reward for it by being bowled for a duck by the ace allrounder)by saying that he is just average and is inflated by the Indian media.Kapil was then the captain. He has all accolades for Shane but a mere mockery for Ganguly, our ex captain who has better batting records than him in both forms of the game.In captaincy also Martin failed miserably. So, before his back breaks again, he should give up this incredible idea.

Ganguly-reurn to cricket
by RathindraNath Banerjee on May 20, 2011 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

Since Ganguly is representing only a so-called Club Team, I do not understand why people are so much interested.Had he represented the Country or the State, the stake is understandable. This time it is his and his Club-Owner"s choice since it is their money and fame which is at stake. So let us enjoy the Cricket Drama of T 20 as it is.

Your point is unfortunately not understood or thought about by others.

The problem with most people here is that they have not understood why he compared himself to Ganguly.

We in India, of late have always reacted angrily to anyone making any comment on an Indian player without understanding the context.

Club cricket is club cricket, if you and I are eligible, we can also play. Why not Martin Crowe then?
