if he wants to prove...

himself then he should play ranji and other domestic cricket... but then there is no endorsements and money there like ipl... so greedy ganguly will do anything and everything to be a part of an ipl team... and those contacts with bookies will come in handy in spot fixing ipl matches...to make more money...

by Indian on May 04, 2011 02:06 AM  | Hide replies

loook at this...He deserves a lot of respect, but not the way he has been treated (by Kolkata Knight Riders)..

then why didn't they bid on him????

Now nothing is working in favor of pune so they are gambling with ganguly.....

pune failure lies in thr captain....yuvi is a great cricketer but he is certainly not the best captain....

"Asked about the tenure of Ganguly's contract, Sarkar said, "We want to go step by step. Of course, Sourav is a part of Sahara India Pariwar and we will want this association to be a long term one. The contract will be assessed at the end of the year."

Incidentally, Ganguly has always shared a cordial relationship with Team Pune owner Subrata Roy. Speculations were rife that Warriors will pick him from auctions if KKR doesn't bid for him.

But one learns that chief coach Geoff Marsh and assistant coach Praveen Amre were against the idea of roping in former India captain due to his strained relationship with Aussie coaches (read Greg Chappell [ Images ], John Buchanan [ Images ], Dav Whatmore).

But having failed to deliver the goods, and Warriors down in the dumps, they had no option but to toe the management line."

Agree with you totally
"yuvi is a great cricketer but he is certainly not the best captain...."

SRK is putting cunning adverts with tunju dance/drink all over
by D S on May 04, 2011 02:00 AM  | Hide replies

One of the cunning advertisement with SRK is 'dhanda dhimag' with tunju women. It impacts players loyalty when they play against KKR with tunju captain Gambhir. Sohal could have played much better against Lee and Balaji. His batting and lack of application like he had against CSK made Lee appear dangerous than he is. And he gave away his wicket on purpose to the spinner (did not apply force when needed).
Such is also an impact on players like Venu as well even though he is playing for a jat captain who lost lot of his key players to Gambhir (KKR) and Punjab. Gambhir also took with him lot of player loyalty when he joined KKR.
Such is also happening with videshi players in IPL who are looking for their own dominance.
