The strength of Sri Lankan team not tested yet because they play weaker teams in pool matches
Against Pakistan-----Lost the match
Against Australia Abandon

In quarter-final they play against England and in semi final New Zealand but on other hand India played with Australia and Pakistan which was much-much better teams.

Now I think India deserve the World cup? But history shows that Indian team always slips in main occasion

final word
by Wanderlust on Apr 01, 2011 08:20 AM  | Hide replies

a tough match is only won if all departments perform to their best ....batting...bowling and fielding....make no mistakes ...this can only be achieved if each player ...all eleven guys keep their minds on the game rather than on the cup or result

once you think of cup and result ur game is screwed up....so just play your hearts out ..enjoy the game and u will also get the cup

nail it into your heads
by Wanderlust on Apr 01, 2011 08:15 AM

there is no doubt this is a very strong side. ...only ....only when each player tunes his senses and plays according to plan. once this side focuses its impossible for anything on earth to beat them.

the key is focus and rotating strikes. at no point any player should show signs of giving up ...afterall why you need to give up ? ...you have colleagues who are all capable ..so be confident and make sure you perform better than your colleague...be competitive

good luck india
by Wanderlust on Apr 01, 2011 08:11 AM

whoever is selected ...finally everyone has to make conscious effort.

i have found that bowlers play their hearts out whereas the much hyped batting line up always played reckless... its time they dig in and fight fiercly against lankan bowlers just like they showed against aussies ...

it should be nailed into their heads that they will play each ball on its merit and even if momentum is on our side, don't throw away your wicket. sehwag should show controlled agression and read the ball more carefully.... he should clearly sink into the match and then open up his assault. sachin should focus more and play slow innings ..anchor it and get your century and kick the youngsters if they play reckless. i think sachin's greatest skill is running between wickets ..he should make right calls and rotate strike ...play cool guys

Tomorrow we have the final.Rediff still producing the staff of a match which is already over.

Get out of the hang-over and focus on the match in hand..

Tomorrow,we have the momentus ocassion in cricket.
I see a new picture after that one..Kapil with the cup at Lords..we will have a one more ,Dhoni with the cup at wankhede...May be today is the last night for Kapil to be that unique right holder of India's world cup triumph folk-lore..

Sachin Man of the Match
Yuvraj Man of the series..

Sachin will be able to shut the mouth of some fans who accuse him of not winning the world cup atleast ones !

"Politician" Dhoni,"Selfish"Sachin,"Chamcha" Raina,Harbhajan,Yuvi,"TB patient" Nehra..what names not called by a group of morons, who did not do anything great for the country but whin..yes,all of those sincere, talented, brave and hard-working players will kiss the pinnacle of success tomorrow..
India new world champions !

May be PM, President, Sonia & Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka and other ministers do come to see WC match B E C A U S E they have no work except to fool public. 121 crore popoulations are being misguided. 10 hours a day wasted to see this match by say if 100 crores people of India then 1000 crore man hours lot of money are wasted at all and finally no benefit except getting a cup of no use. If a man working hrs counted as 8 hrs, then no. of days wasted are 125 crore days....!!!! then why people are running behind cricket like mad men and there is no benefit at all. Cricket must be banned seriously. Why is not so much of feelings for our National Sport - HOCKEY and also for other games. WHY INDIA IS NOT PROGRESSING AHEAD IS THIS REASON.

Yes. Time spent in a movie may not be WASTE for U but for a PM, who does not have time to visit poor farmers committing suicide, it will surely be a waste of time.

Dear Manish

Look at yourself. How much time are you wasting these messages. That too twice(see below). Instead, if you put these time and energy into something productive, it would benefit you and your family. If you can't appreciate nice things in the world, then you don't deserve one. Why are you trying to steal the fun out of billion people's life? I am sure your nick name in college/schoold would 'party-pooper'.

Take out the lollipop from your mouth & think adult man. ..... be mature & patriotic.

Premature WC victory celebrations!

India is the favorites - yes. But has India already won the cup? It appears that the media and Indian fans already won the cup. SriLanka is not Canada. Please wait till the final is over and then you celebrate.

I agree. Its not really over until we hold the cup in hand. But winning against Pak in SF is a great feeling, so thatswhy all these celebrations. Now that its cooling, lets worry about the final hurdle.

100% true. What a tamasha going on. We Indians are good at taking every thing for granted, and pre mature celebration.

I for one will be so sorry to see a billion broken hearts if things dont go as per the commands of 1 billion fellow Indians.

Guys, please wake up. This is not one of your bollywood phillums that always has to have a fairy tale ending.
