Please do not make such comments. Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi are not ordinary persons. They are international figures and fought many a time in the cricket ward, for their country. Misforture might have chased them. - Chandramouli Gunti

ALREADY THERE ARE EFFORTS TO START RIOTS IN MANY PLACES.
by John Pillai on Mar 31, 2011 03:32 AM  | Hide replies

ENGLISH MEDIA SHOULD NOW CHECK THE EFFORTS OF " SOME " PEOPLE TO START THE RIOTS IN GUJARAT AND U.P. THEY ALREADY MADE ENOUGH MONEY OUT OF GUJARAT, NOW GO AND SEE THE SITUATION BY YOURSELVES.

PEOPLE OF ANY COUNTRY WILL CELEBRATE IF THEIR TEAM WINS SUCH AN IMPORTANT MATCH.

IMAGINE THE CELBERATIONS IN PAKISTAN IF THEY HAD WON.

IT IS OK, THEN WHY SOME INDIANS ALWAYS ACT PROPAKISTAN AND ALSO CELEBRATE WHEN PAKISTAN WINS ON US AND IGNITE RIOTS WHEN INDIA WINS.

EVERY INDIAN KNOWS THERE ARE MUSLIM PLAYERS WITH GREAT CONTRIBUTION IN TEAMS WIN, SO WHY TARNISH THERI IMAGE ? THINK PLEASE AND STOP THIS NONESENSE.

To pak fans..

I have a certain view about ur pak players who dropped sachin's catch.younis, kamran, umar akmal about possiblity of match fixing..this is not to make unnecessary derogatory comments or to hurt ur sentiments..

but just the things went shocked me completely.

The reason I stated is there were videos leaks of GEO TV when pak came from disastourous tour of aus in 2010 in during pak enquiry committee when some pak coach, players were taking the name of younis khan regarding some politics going on team and may be other issues.I didn't got enough detail on it.

And recently a news broke out that umar akmal was faking injury for team to not sack his brother kamran after dropping catches agnst NZ,and afridi stood firm on his views regarding umar akmal in the sense of sacking umar akmal if injury is fake for the sake of including his brother.

Again not to offend any pak fans...just my view of whole situation

India should revive cricket ties with PAkistan, less Lanka tours
by Arvind Aravindanatham on Mar 31, 2011 03:10 AM  | Hide replies

I'd predicted India win a week back, but Pakistan surprised me with their bowling especially Wahab Riaz, he was being asked to be replaced by Shoaib Akhtar and he alone restricted formidable Indian batting lineup to 260 with some help from Ajmal.
I hope Indo-Pak series ties get revived and India instead of playing Sri Lanka 6 months of the year, plays with Pakistan also. Its a shame that we blame their politicians and generals and then roll the red carpet for them whereas we stop their cricketers from playing IPL or bilaterally to avenge 26/11, which has nothing to do with them. There are only 8 test sides in this world and PAkistan also plays competitive cricket and their time is the only good thing from their country, it'll be better for our cricket as well.

india's win
by Rhazes Ashrawi on Mar 31, 2011 02:56 AM  | Hide replies

This would have Pakistan's win. This was sheer bad luck. Tendulkar missed getting out four times. two missed catches. He had scored only 45 when he was dropped by Y.Khan. Imagine if he had to get caught. India's score would have been only 170 or 180. Pakistan wouild have very easily beat this total. So do not rejoice too much. It was mere good luck for India. Nothing great about the performance. Pakistan's bowling was superb. In fact Pakistan players are younger and smarter. So this was pakistan's game. India won by luck.

Why dont you accept the truth of the sports...There are only four possible results 1)Win 2) lost 3) Tie 4) No result/cancle...If one wins other has to lose. You are talking about good luck of tendulkar...i would say he had bad luck today otherwise he would not have caught on 86, If he would not have caught on 86 he could have scored a TON and india could have put more than 300 runs on board. :) simple so no more could have...would have...its all about game..undoubtedly it was great game.

If Tendulkar would have gone before 50, India could have got 280-290 runs because then Raina would have got more overs to play. India wasted deliveries when Sachin-Kohli and Sachin-Dhoni were batting. Even with the presence of Tendulkar, India had boundary less 15 overs in the middle. It was pathetic to watch Tendulkar taking somany balls to reach 60-to-85.

there is no if and buts in cricket.you have to take chances coming at you.Sachin has got out so many times in unlucky fashion so we should accept yesterday was his day.who ever writes this would have good if that would have happened has no meaning now.If you feel it was pathetic to watch Sachin you does not deserve to be watching cricket as Sachin knows the cricket better than you and plays accordingly!!commenting on any great personality is very easy job in India now a days.however you should know your worth before commenting on some one likes of Sachin who is carrying hopes of entire nation on his shoulder since 20 years.you people will feel his importance when he stops playing cricket.

Bogus. If Sachin had gone earlier, Yuvaraj wouldn't be out on first ball. He may not have received that Wahab delivery. He may have scored 60-70 runs...

If then analysis is good. Indian did not asked Yunus to drop the catch. We are in good shape to lift the worldcup on Saturday. And you Pakistanis start blaming players for match fixing.

What nonsense. The very fact that Indian team which had a weak bowling line up otherwise was able to prevent Pakistanis from crossing a score which was not at all a reasonably good score itself proves that we won ONLY because of good bowling and fielding. Did anybody even dream that India will win after India finished its batting at a mere 260 while minimum expected defendable score was around 280-300?
