Madhusoodhan can you also score a century in WC final and win the cup for your country like Ponting did? Go back to your useless life of playing down great achievers

i'm not so selfish to wait for WC final match to score century,
But definitely put my best efforts,
with below 7 performing players...
Gilchrist,Hayden,Symmonds,Bevan,M.Hussey,McGrath,Warne,Lee.
i am 100% confident of winning World cup.
My team can chase 300 with below 5 batsmen Gilchrist,Hayden,Symmonds,Bevan,M.Hussey,
and can defend even totals less than 200 with below bowlers,
McGrath,Warne,Lee.
still i'm talking here of winning,
advise for u, and dont take things personally,
i'm not here quarrel with u personally.

I didnt mean to quarrel either, I am just appalled at how much you downplayed a great achiever like Ponting, I agree he is a cheater at every opportunity, but still you gotto give him credit for his achievements. Just dont start criticizing after one loss in a quarter final

i knw he is a very good batsman, no doubt abt his batting ability, but he was also lucky to captain the team which consisted of these 7 players, Absence of most of these players's services are outcomes of australia's last 2 year's performances and also this world cup performances,

ponting and achiever, you really are funny. Single handed responsible for slow run rate in quarter final and defensive fielding. if ponting did not play, india could never win against australia. just hanging on to match sachin record which is not going to happen even if he is 7 lives.
Disgraced the whole country with petty miserable behavior on and off field. cheating beaurocracy and shrewd disgraced the game of cricket itself.
ponting is all that is bad in cricket in modern time and cricket will be much more enjoyable once he is thrown out

Population control
by Indian Guy on Mar 28, 2011 11:24 PM

Fellow Indians, it is time everyone thinks about population control, the Govt anyway cannot implement such policies in democracy, but if the numbers keep on increasing we can never have quality life. Take an example of Australia, 1/10th of Uttar Pradesh population is living in double the land of India, why wouldn't they be prosperous? India&China=40% of world population, china will reduce after 100 years because they now have 'one or none' policy, if every family limits with one kid, the population will be half in about 80 years. Imagine the situation after 100 years if there are no measures taken, please think responsibly and resort to population control, that is the only way for quality life. Every problem in India today would not be there if we didnt have so much population

It's all to patch up the loose ends now...had he had so much to offer for the AC, why he didn' offer at the right time? does he need a better event than world cup? he is scared now and trying to tell that he is still a leader, which he is actually not...

He didn't offer at the right time because had he done that, you would have cribbed about Dhoni and the rest of the team for losing. Either ways morons like you have to write some crap.

Ponting
by shaik peer on Mar 28, 2011 01:19 PM

Undoubtedly Ponting is considered as All Time Great and is one of the finest cricketer that Australia has ever produced after Don Bradman. His century againt India in QF under immense pressure is the class example. He is one of the best fielders in the world..esp his radar direct hits.....I personally feel atleast he shud continue playing cricket as a team member...Anywhich ways...ALL THE BEST to PONTING....

Ganguly sacrificed his Batting for captaincy! Is that a sacrifice? He was not up to the mark for the likes of Lee, Akthar and used to fear them like a calf. He might have done good to himself, but I don't think he was any better cricketer. Just an average politics monger

Captaincy in cricket is an exhausting work off the field and on the field, buddy! Those who know cricket and atleast play in First class cricket know it. I played to UP in Ranji for two years and I know it first hand.

Since you talked about his batting against fast bowling, I give only one example. Watch how Ganguly tore the heart out of Flitoffs chest when he opened the innings in that great ODI final that India thrillingly won in England. People remember the last batsman i.e. Yuvraj and Kaif. But watch how Ganguly had set it up.

If he scared of fast bowling he wouldnot have opened in ODIs. His best came as an opener in ODIs.

Every batsman goes through out of form patches particularly if you play the game longer and Sourav is no exception.

Captaincy is not something ordinary men can understand and this is not recorded in statistics like batting or bowling.

When you stretch your career for 20 years any batsmans averages and statistics will look good.

Ponting achieved higher runs even while captaining unlike Sachin who gave up captaincy for his batting-ditto with Rahul Dravid.
