Dhoni is not only making mistakes, but he is playing dirty, dangerous politics!
The cool, competitive and innovative Dhoni is the ‘Past’. He is now playing cheap politics, even during this important period and only he can say why he does it.
Ashwin is Chairman Srikant’s candidate, hence Dhoni is deliberately keeping him out and try to promote his ‘chocolate’ wonder Chawla.
What he did to Sreesant is even worse. In South Africa, an aggressive Sreesant rattled Kallis with a bouncer and got his wicket. He unsettled Smith with a verbal warfare and got his wicket. But the Captain goes public against his own bowler in the press briefing. In the first match, he did not tell Sreesant he will be playing it till the start of the play. Then, totally unexpected, he was given the new ball. Excited as he was, Sreesant could not control the ball and leaked runs in the four overs he bowled. End of the story. Now nobody can point fingers at Dhoni for neglecting this bowler, who otherwise would have been a handful against the South Africans. He would have taken wickets, at least to contain his suppressed fury. But Dhoni exactly doesn’t want that.
Dhoni also has the nerve to criticize his batters, after badly shuffling the order, while he could not make the bowlers understand to stay at the wicket and did not have guts to face as many balls of Steyn & Co as possible, to save that ma

Very wel said about Dhoni and Sreesanth. I'm not from Kerala but your points are very valid and support Sreesanth on his agression. This stupic Dhoni for his own image destroying Sree's agression by xritizing his oen team mate in public.
Why can't he do the same thing against Aussies if he has huts and any shame or self respect.
Dhoni and media is fuly biased against Sreesanth. I agree that he is erratic sometimes bit giving one match chance that too 5 overs is no way equal to giving multiple chances to Chwala, munaf with repeated failues.
Munaf is a great off spinner. he bowls quicker than harbajan sometimes.
Ishanth and Sresanth are the only respectable medium pacers in India after Javagal Srinath.
Again Vinay Kumar from KA should have been in the team in place of Munaf as he is a decent bat too and P Ohja in place of Chawla.
Its all politics and money being played in BCCI and we are all fools.
i see several people talking about national interest and honour etc..please remember here 15 fellows are playing just to make money and show off..please do not be fooled..enjoy IPL later.
If selectors are not happy with Piyush Chawla, why at the first instance they chose him. They just cannot insist the captain what the team should be. Captain should have the final say after consulting with coach and senior players. Let Srikanth visit universities and other functions for doctorate and other funfare leaving Dhoni to do the rest. Remember, this is not IPL.
This is a team that is not good enough to be world champions simply because we have 2 bowlers and all others also ran kind of bowlers. Even these 2 (Zaheer & Bhajji) will not find place in the 1st playing 11 of S Africa. As far as batsmen are concerned nobody showed any presence of mind against S Africa after we were 260 plus for 1 in 40 overs. Dhoni kept exposing others and others tried slogging Steyn as id he is a club level bowler. The team lacks common sense, almost all are bunch of jokers. The way they are playing the team does not deserve to reach even semis even though personally as an Indian I will be very happy when achieves something big.
All media of India was projecting Indian team as winner of WorldCup-2011, but after Bangladesh, England, Ireland Netherland/SA match they did not consider India as contender of WorldCup-2011. But this is right too because Indian team cannot bowled out weak teams like Ireland, Canada, Zimbabwe, Netherlands Kenya etc less than 200 runs.
So how we Indian expect that India will win World cup?
