"Bangla is facing certain deeat against SA."......Never be so over-sure! Anything can happen...who knows!

"If ENG win they are in QF."...not true!

There is something wrong with Indian Players
by k p on Mar 16, 2011 07:24 PM  | Hide replies

Two weeks before WC, in SA, India was playing like they were the World Champions - each and every player were proving that they could individually win the mathces! Patel had 4 Wkt win, Sree had 4 wk win, Bhaji had perished the SA batting line up, Pathan was making lightning fast Century, fielding was extremely good!!! When we made a paltry sum and about to fail in an ODI, from a position of defeat, our bowlers bowled out all SA batsmen and gifted us an unbelievable victory!

All this has been reversed when they were included in the WC! Dhoni is struggingling to find out his form! But he is making Century in Warm Up match!! He is making all wise decisions in SA, but in WC his decisions are suddenly became noticeably low quality!

Dhoni is denying chances to Pthan when the openers were doing a good job to promote himself and Yuvi up the order! Pathan confidently said before the WC - I can win the match from any position - suddenly getting out before making 2 digit! Bhaji became a non-entity, Nehra became a burden! Raina is not getting a chance, Aswin is sleeping in the Pavillion! Only Tendulkar is keeping his form - thought ppl do not like that for some unknown reason!

What is going on in our team! It looks like it is because somebody sitting at the Pavillion with a Mobile Phone is controlling Dhoni to fail himself and make other players in the team fail to achieve a target!

If one player is doing this, we can understand it is as a bad day!

India is already in Q/F
by tippirisetty ganesh on Mar 16, 2011 05:52 PM  | Hide replies

Surprised???!!!! Let’s see how.

The qualification depends on these matches:

1.      ENG (5) Vs WI (6)
2.      SA (8) Vs BAN (6)
3.      IND (7) Vs WI (6).

Right now the points (nrr) for teams: ENG -> 7 (0.013); WI-> 6 (2.206); SA-> 8 (1.606); BAN-> 6 (-0.765); IND-> 7 (0.768);
I hope every body knows that, if India wins in the last match they will be second in the group, provided, SA wins over BAN, otherwise, they will top the group. Let’s see what happens if they don’t win that last match.

Since we assume WI win, WI will have 8 points. The possible scenarios are:

1.      If ENG win Vs WI and SA win Vs BAN,  B1: SA (10); B2: WI (8); B3: IND (7); B4: ENG (7). IND (7) will be ahead of ENG (7) since the nrr is better for India, for ENG to be ahead of IND, the margin of runs combined (margin of ENG win margin of IND loss) should be more than 192 runs, which is very difficult or impossible.
2.      If ENG win Vs WI and BAN win Vs SA,  B1: WI (8); B2: SA (8); B3: BAN (8); B4: IND (7). Again, IND (7) will be ahead of ENG (7) since the nrr is better for India, for ENG to be ahead of IND, the margin of runs combined (margin of ENG win margin of IND loss) should be more than 192 runs, which is almost impossible.
3.      If WI win Vs ENG and SA win Vs BAN,  B1: SA (10); B2: WI (10); B3: IND (7); B4: BAN (6). SA and WI position may interchange with

interchange with nrr. ENG (5) is out.
4.      If WI win Vs ENG and BAN win Vs SA,  B1: WI (10); B2: SA (8); B3: BAN (8); B4: IND (7). ENG (5) is out.

I think we should introduce RAJINI KANTH in place of Sree and Nehra! Rajni kanth is capable to take 10 wicket in 2 overs if given a chance to bowl or alternatively, he is capable to hit make 400 runs in 10 overs if given a chance to bat! I have seen his movies - I am sure he can do it!

Otherwise, give a chance to Raja, he will buy all the opponents in the WC against India and make India win paying 1% from his 1.70 lakh Crore account!!

ENGLISH SPORTS HAVE DECLINED WITH END OF COLONIAL TIMES
by damodaran mohan on Mar 16, 2011 04:39 PM

Although on paper the English look to be a good side but they are not playing to their potential.Somehow the english seem to have lost that passion for 'sports' in general whether it is cricket or football or atheletics. That is why they are not doing well at international level.About forty fifty yrs back the englisgmen were very passionate about sports. It was then that even while they were taking horse racing betting tips their ear would be glued to football or cricket commentary.Sports standards in general in England have declined.
