India is coming back to Azhar days ?????
by Cool Mahesh on Mar 14, 2011 08:59 AM  | Hide replies

Only 3 scorers - Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir. Earlier it was Sachin, VVS and Dravid.
Others - Non-performers just included to complete the 11.

Yes, because they come in the start and take most of the opportunities. And the middle order is left with heavy pressure situation to score runs.

Please mind that in any team the middle order needs some time to get settle to score. And they have done it when top order has failed.

S Shrikanth:

;-).... Wow!! Middle order scoring at 4 runs an over against Minnows = They have performed!!
Top order scoring at 7-9 runs an over against Champion teams = They are not doing well...

Fantastic!!

By your logic, our middle order should give up all forms of cricket that don't provide a chance to "settle down" - i.e. Twenty 20.... Right? :)

And when the top order fails, even then the middle order won't score.

Guys,
by srinivas ramachandran on Mar 14, 2011 08:58 AM

Now we have qualified for the Qf ..thats for sure..These trials are not actually working..Nobody shouuld ever do this in a knock out stage..We should be clear that our next big game is against either NZ,Aussie,Pakistan or SL .Not West Indies..Our trials and testing is all done for this big game--for example Using Chawla ,Sending Pathan and giving Nehra the last over.ALl have proven to be utter failures. such blunders should not occur in the next stage.Have strategy for whichever team u r going to face for knock out stage.. Shree is better comparitively as he is a better fielder and bowler.Again he should not be bowling in the last five overs or powerplays..So keep your best bowlers for the last ten overs , which is AShwin,Bhajji and Zaheer..Whatever mistakes are done, are realized early...Now no room for trials and mistakes...Jai Hind!

Why we blame Sachin for all ills of team ???
by Cool Mahesh on Mar 14, 2011 08:53 AM  | Hide replies

When Sachin does not score, we blame him. When he scores, we blame him.
But the real issue is we are not blaming non-performers like Dhoni, Yuvraj, Kohli, Yusuf, Harbhajan, etc. and we find only one person to put all the blame on - Sachin.
When will Indians understand that this is a team game and not an individual sport ?????

Until this Dhoni and his brigade is thrown out for one or two series, the situation won't improve.

All the faults belongs to Captain Dhoni not selecting one more spinner, using yusuf pathan at wrong time etc. he also not tried to accilerate the score when he was in the ground. he gave the bat to abowler in the first ball for a single run. is it neccessary. he should not give any statment.

Indians and 'Inferiority Complex'
by Dire Straits on Mar 14, 2011 08:07 AM  | Hide replies

It's well known that Indians in general suffer from inferiority complex. That's the only and sole reason you see ignorant comments against Tendulkar.

But I don't blame them. They have inherited it from their forefathers who were once slaves to the British. They have this blood of slavery running through their veins. So no point in blaming them.

Because Nehra can smile exposing his 32 teeth, even after HIT a SIX by a tail ender, - and make opponents Happy; which bhajji cannot.

Sachin and Gambhir responsible for batting failure!

Both threw their wickets at the wrong time. The six or seven tail enders that followed were exposed to SA bowling attack.

This is a very common thing in this world cup. India is not an exception. If the top three batsmen consumed over 40 overs, rest of the batsmen failed miserably.

India, Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa - all have seen this in this world cup.

Sachin and Gambhir did not dream/predict that the rest of the batsmen would all out in next 26 runs.

Think wise and write something which make sense.

The best for a captain is to keep quite. He has played a game worse than the novie and then says people played for gallery. This guy spends more time in being a brand ambassador and sickening to see him. What has been his performance in the last twenty ODIs.Fact is that we win every one rejoices and forgets and when we lose we blame every one around including earht quake ,sunami and volcono eruption. Money has been a great motivator for generations -which is not the case with cricketers anymore . playing for the nation ,pride of the nation are not applicable to the current generation of cricketers -as in sports .Take it we played badly and did not deserve to win.If India wins the cup it is an insult to the tournament -they simply do not desrve.Right from selection of team for the tournamnet to the selection in each match it is horror .Yusuf does he deserve a place if he scores a brillinat runs in one in ten matches or is it minoirty reservation.ofcourse in this match everyone barring the first three looked like pack of jokers.
