Compare apple to apple my friend. There is no double standard / politics here. Chawla failed in performance for couple of matches and hence needed morale boost, whereas in Sree case he neither performed nor kept his mouth shut. Say for example if a bowler of Mcgrath, Allan Donald, Steyn strature, when they take wickets and then being rude - it can be acceptable & you can defend. In Sree's case you have to accept that it is his fault and he needs to perform first and then make all rude gestures.

hi prabu, i didn't mention anything about Sree. I am against Dhoni's over support for Chawla. Ashwin is warming the bench for a while.

in case of sree DHONI goes public in critisizing him and even fully supports his oppnent captain but in case of Chawla he is giving him all that he needs isnt it double standard from him

Sree is one among the pacers but Chawla is the only leg spin bowler. So he gave one more chance to him.For any bowler/batsman,the great motivation to perform is the trust and belief from his captain kept on him. That itself is a great sign. But Sreesanth was not trusted from the beginning becos of his both cricketing and non cricketing qualities.

No Sreeshanth is a south indian and no backup support but chawla is a north indian and have a backup support. This is the main reason.

Its not the reason. If he got selected, his average runs per over will be above 7 or 8.Pl see his earlier matches. If Dhoni ready to rest Harbajan for the next 2 matches, then Sreeshant can be picked
Particularly this captain Dhoni who is prone to blame his team mates whenever India struggles. If you get good starts, middle order performs well, bowlers take wickets and fielders field properly, then we don't need this captain. Show your ability by leading the team to victory and don't blame others for failure. That is how great kapil led India to WC glory, not by criticising his own players.

I didn't say Kapil was great captain. I said great Kapil led India to glory....he was definitely a great player.
