Ashwin was selected due to srikanth and Piyush was selected due to Dhoni. In the process, they missed in form confident spinner Ojha. Dhoni is supporting and struggling with Piyush but not interested in wicket taking, in form Ojha. Ojha proved his skills in death overs many times. Look at the way Piyush bowling in death overs.. Too much politics still exist in Cricket.
Bhajji is not getting wickets bcoz only thing he is practising is commercial Modelling and not his bawling. Dhoni didnot complete his schooling. He will fail in world cup too but he wants to show that he at least know one right answer that is Chawla.

Few days people especially Nis and people where scoffing about the inclusion of Ashwin .They told that Dhoni is favoring him bcos of CSK.The also asked y u need ASwhin if Bhaji is there..now ..lol..Everything reverse.. Remember this Ashwin has come into the 15 because of dhoni and shrikant.Dhoni knows when to use him..Dhoni is the person who has tremendous confidence in Ashwin.Though he was hit for sixes in the over with Victoria..
Guys , let me ask u a question..Suppose Suppose if Ashwin was chosen for Netherlands and he was hammerred..What u guys will do ..? Play the same fiddle for Ashwin..to bring in Chawla.. Chawla was hit by english and Dutch..So wht Swann was hit ..Anderson was hit..You mean to say these are poor bowlers..Bhajji is giving a good economy , so nobody is talking of him.. Neherlands was a good oppurtunity for Chawla to get his form right..Suppose if v meet Aussies in QF ..will u not include Chawla..Grow up guys.. We need Bhajji with Chawla or Aswhin with Chawla .If Bhajji is the unofficial manager and entertainer of the indian team, then stay with Bhajji with Chawwla..
Let me tell you guys..A captain should have confidence with his players or give confidence to his bowlers ..if they lack..That is good captaincy..Chawla had a bad game.Just remember how Broad was hit..by Yuvi..Now he is the best bowler in English side..JaiHind!

So well said. These guys are flimsy. Their argument is driven by hate and will use any flip flop argument to support it. It is just funny.
n o matter if india has to win the WC -- which is very unlikely -- they have to really perform well in all depts. no matter even if they are playing against a weak team,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, bowling will be a big concern -- SA is going to make more than 350 WI too probably india will reach QF but from there on...... they really need to improve and need some LUCK AS WELL all the best india
It clearly looks India making them pressure while chasing the score eventhough below 200 runs. It will be interesting& trouble if India going to chase in Quater or Semi for 200 runs against good side like Aussies,SA.. God has to give good advice to Dhoni and selecters to select Ashwin for the next matches atleast.Also can sit Gambhir and select Raina inplace.

I dont think the presence of Ashwin would do any great either. Surely he would be better than Bhajji with ball and mouth, but that is negated by Bhajji's type of consistent poor fielding and arrogant lackadisical approach to batting by top 5 batsmen(except perhaps Sachin, who even though hasn't had great scores after second match century but still wasnt throwing away his wicket).
But yes any betterment than the current lot of bowling woe will be most welcome. In that way, I feel and again reiterate show the door to Bhajji for the next match and bring in Ashwin or Munaf. We haven't tried Ashwin (may be Dhoni is keeping him as secret weapon but it cannot made to rust) (or) we haven't tried with three seamers so bring Munaf (however dud he is, he can't be worse than Bhajji, but may sure match Bhajji). If Raina should be given a chance then I feel Kohli should be made to sit than Gambhir. Or, rest Shewag and bring Gambhir top in the order and bring in Raina. Unfortunate that we have so many areas that need improvement wherein armchair guys like me could give suggestions. It is sad and merely shows that this team is building a good case study on why they should not be in semis.
OK. For argument sake lets take Dhoni's pre-match statement that Piyush needs some 'hands-on' and hence he needed to be in the squad against Netherlands where he can try-out things. Then can't he push for a change by making Harbhajan to sit and Ashwin or Munaf to play?! At the least Piyush was a rookie and he could be given benefit of doubt but when you have exposed your "star" bowler's incompetency the writing is on the wall - Quarter Final to Semis chances have further reduced. Atleast Piyush took a conciliatory one/two wickets but the "star" came out as a perfect dud. Not that this is one off match where he(Bhajji) performed bad. He is consistent in that. So, in my opinion Harbhajan should have been asked to sit against Dutch and should have made to practice in the nets to spin (not roll) the ball to get back his lost touch (whatever it is).
