First of all batsmen need to get adjusted to the bounce. No batsman other than Rahul Dravid have a technique & temperament to face short-pitched bowling.

I agree with technique. But our almost all batsman have good temperament to face short pitch bowling. The problem is patience. Dravid didn't play any pull shot in his last century until he reached 100.

All fans of sachin are also fan of dravid, laxman, sehwag, kumble, zaheer, yuvi(ODI) etc who are genuine players.
dhoni is simply not in that league & thats why all sachin supporter feel offended when great player is compared with ordinary one.

Make a proper comparison. If you want to compare top order batsman with a lower middle order batsman.

Sachin batting average at 5, 6 and 7 position in ODI is just 30 in 46 matches while Dhoni has above 40. Sachin didn't score any century at these position while Dhoni has 3.

Dhoni has highest average among all indian players at 7 in test format which played more than 20 innings at this position.

well said anurag, thats what i have trying to say so many times. only a few people like you varun etc. understand...

just compare the difference in stats between sachin and dhoni at middle order or lower middle order. just no comparison. dhoni is just too good for sachin. in fact dhoni is probably the ONLY player who has batted from position 2-7 successfully and has a fantastic record at all these positions. he is very smart and knows the potential and possibilities of each particular position and always bats accordingly...

Only best batsman of any team open batting in ODI/T-20 & bats at no.3 or no.4 in test.
It is a hard known fact.
Dhoni started his career as opener only with some success also agianst b grade pak bowling on indian pitch. But once his limited batting ability was exposed, he was not alloowed to do opening.
Now after he took captaincy- still he couldn\'t dare to open inning in any format of game because he himself knows about his limited batting ability & it is not good for his team. He doesn\' dare to open even in IPL. he knows it is most difficult thing to do is opening & playing in top order & he can\'t survive there against quality bowler. Even parthiv patel can do better opening than ordinary dhoni.
Make dhoni opener in all format of game- his carrer will finished within 1 yrs as he will never last more than 2 overs agianst quality bowling.
Batting at his position is easiest thing to do.
In IPL any of captains & wicketkeeper like sachin, gambhir, patel, gilly, sangarkara, mclumn, etc has opened the ining but dhoni never dared to do it because of his team interest( he knows he can\'t last long & opener has large role to play in any win in ODI/T-20)

Also i don't trust anyone of anurag data.
That day he replied & told dhoni has scored 7 centuries.
I checked & found that dhoni has total 4 centuries in test & not a single overseas century.
even Agark

ashish kumar let sachin come at the batting position of dhoni in all formats of the game. his record will be worse than dhoni's record...his record looks better than dhoni's and some others because he bats above these players and takes very good advantage of his batting position and the fact that nearly always he gets the first crack at the opposition bowlers in odis...everybody knows his records in the first 65-70 odd odis where he hit ZERO centuries and had a bad record. it was only a stroke of luck that one of our openers got injured and so he got a chance at batting at the top. if that had not happened sachin would still be batting down the order in odis having an ordinary recored....

nice guy, it all started because dhoni arrived on the international scene with a bang. and with his consistent, reliable and awesome performances especially in sticky situations stole sachin's thunder. dhoni began to grow in success, popularity and endorsement deals. also his impeccable behaviour, courtesy and smiling face giving respect to everybody only increased his popularity and magic...

blind sachin fanatics who at first praised dhoni for his marvellous ability soon to their dismay found that dhoni was getting more and more popular and was being credited for india wins. sharing this credit with anybody else was something his die hard fantards (mentally retarded fans) were not ready to do.

they wanted that their GOD sachin be given 100% credit for india wins. similarly all other players should get 0% credit for all india wins and 100% credit (or rather blame) for all india's losses.

but dhoni arrived on the scene and started to demolish the sachin myth, all sachin's godliness was being washed away. so these fantards started their smear campaign against dhoni who was trying to upstage their GOD. imagine a mere mortal trying to 'steal' god's credit? that was SHEER BLASPHEMY. so these innuendos, lies, accusations etc. started...that he did not want seniors in his team, he does not want sachin to have records, that he is jealous of sachin,

nice guy now u understand why the comparisons between the two started? and who started it and why?

He has scored 30 centuries away out of 51.
dhobiji has not scored a single centuru outside even after playing 57 test & 6 yrs of intl cricket. Even agarkar/kumble could score century in england.
Sachin 51 test Hundreds
England 8 (5 away)
Australia 12 (7 away)

Sri lanka 8 (4 away)
Newzeland 3 (1 away)

Sachin vs dhoni in WI
Mr Sunil Vaidya
Sachin at W.Indies : 16 Test, 1328Runs, 57.73Avg, 3 Centuries , 179 highest… All this while facing Toughst West Indies bowling.
Dhoni at W.Indies: 5 Test, 184 Runs, 20.4 Avg, 69 Highest.. Look at the bowing attack….
Stats shows Who pee in his pants… Dhonis total is less thn Sachins hights score…

agarkar being a bowler scored a century outside subcontinent after 3 n half years of debut
dhoni being a batsman cudnt score a century outside subcontinent even after 6 years of debut
This guy can play only in ipl and on flat sub continent pitches. He does not have technique to survive against good quality bowling on a little difficult pitch

Even 2003 when India reached final (it was more difficult to reach in final in SA than winning cup at subcontienet)- sachin was against the higest scorere.
Now one inning after 20 failure will not make ordinary dhobiji any great.

Good the numbers but how many were matching turning resulting in victory for India.

Now turn around and say there are other 10 guys the team. Then - the success should be credited equally not to TEn alone.

As an aside - do you know how many centuries SRT has scored in ODIs outside the (subcontinent Sharjah) against the major teams (WI, AUS, ENG, NZ, PAK, SL, SA) which have resulted in victories?

That would be quite surprising and perplexing for any Sachin hagiographer - check out!!!

Cheers.

So you 2 have agreed that out of 177 matches he has played and 50 Centuries he has scored only 1/3rd is out of subcontinent. And I can assure you half of them were placid tracks
Now Ashish compare his average in the subcontinent and outside.
You will get your answer.
But look at Dravid. His average out subcontinent is greater that subcontinent

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SA 2011, 35.8
Present WI series- 8.0
Also dhobiji after playing 26 T-20 intl has not scored a single fifty, no match winning inning, no MOM & pathetic strike rate of 110 (one of the lowest for any batsman in T-20 at his batting position)

Dhoni is best
That’s why doing rest.
hehehe
