Again there is no left arm fast bowler.Ideally Zaheer should have been replaced by a left arm fast bowler like Irfan/S.Arvind/ Pradeep Sanghvan/ RP Singh.

VVS as a opener...HEHEHE.. Then wht is the use of taking Murali Vijay in the squad..talk some sense dude..
Once Karnataka has given a great spinners to India like Bhagawat Chandrashekar, EAS Prasanna, Anil Kumble and Raghuram Bhatt.
Now the turn of Fast Bowlers, Roger Binny, Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad, Vinaykumar, Mithun and the left hander who looks very promising Srinath Aravind.
After a long time, we see a Test Team without the likes of any unworthy Mumbai player (born and bred i.e not imported) who was always lobbied for by the "Kar" lobby aka Gavaskar, Vengsarkar etc... Imagine so many failures like Agarkar, Kulkarni, Mhambrey, Jaffer, Powar, Bedade, Salvi, Muzumdar getting chance after chance after chance, when the rest of India had so many talented players at hand. I really thank "Dada" the Bengal Tiger for breaking the stranglehold of the mumbai lobby on Indian Cricket. The cancer of Australian Cricket is the NSW Lobby like the Mumbai Lobby in Indian Cricket.. Thankfully it has been broken. I hope undeserving mumbai players don't get any more callups to the Indian Test Side.

indigo, agarkar is a failure ? hahaha. go n check his stats. useless bowlers like nehra, sreesant wnt be able to achieve even half of agarkar. jaffer ws a gud player bt gambhir performed better thn him. as far as muzumdar is concerned , he is the most unlucky player like amarjeet kp who became a victim of bad politics. u may check his stats also in ranji.

but ganguly is not a talented player. bcz of dalmia politics, he was in team. became successful captain by the performance by sachin. when sachin was in injuries, ganguly lost the captaincy and place in the team too. proved as worst captain in IPL

Dude thats not right, first its not right about Mumbai player, all of them are not failure, they have given some world class players. second, only fool will say Ganguly is not an talented player, look at his stats my dear to start with, he start with the bang and ruled India for many years, All respect to Sachin, Ganguly does play some role in his succes as well. When Sehwag emerge as an blasting opener in world cricket, Sachin had lost his place as opener, it was Ganguly who sacrifice his place and ask Sachin to open the inning with Sehwag. By the way i m an Mumbaikar and die hard fan of Sachin, that doesnt mean i shd undermine othre achvmnt. Everyone serve to country as per there capability but yes there are people who dint get enuf chances and there are people who get enuf chances.
rahane the mumbai opener & dhawal kulkarni the mumbai paceman have been performing brilliantly in the domestic circuit for the last 2 years, kulkarni was the highest wicket taker in season 2010-11, but even then they have been ignored. seems srikanth the chairman of the selection board only knows the names of tamil nadu domestic cricketers,in srikanth's tenure, murli vijay, badrinath, ashwin, mukand have all made to the indian squad.
Re: when will these two get a chance

These two need to be more consistent and just a performance in one season doesnt guarantee a place in Indian Side. Bengal Players are first in line before the Mumbai Players you have mentioned. I hope Tiwary and others from Bengal get the first chance.

even mumbai ipl team does not keep rahane in team how can you expect Indian team to do that
it is learnt that my favourite sportsperson saina nehwal was today comprehensibly beaten in straight games by some unknown chinese at the thailand open. apart from saina's win @ the swiss open this year, where apart from her, no top ranking( 1 to 10 ) player participated, saina has been below par. she unfortunately is struggling to get to her best. earlier a couple of months ago saina had a tiff with national coach gopichand who was annoyed by saina's distraction towards ramp shows exhibiting luxury items. the thai open, was a very good chance for her, as the chinese players ranked 1,2,3,5 & 6 in the world were not participating. now from bangkok saina goes to singapore, hope she fares better there. i hope this girl does not fizzle out the same way as the other hyderabadi tennis girl.
