when we had 3 days couldnt the board have asked to send another opener from India.where is wasim jaffer-even P patel can open the innings.now that Dhoni likes to turn his arm we can have 2 wicket keepers in the side
when someone is not fit or injured why the hell you wait when you have other player looking for opportunity to proove and are in good form. rest Ghambir and bring in Yuvraj. may be you guys will realize that you will have to drop Dhoni and bring in new wicketkeeper who can really bat well and not looking for luck like Dhoni.

Gambhir is waiting to play IPL5. He wants to take god rest now, cure injuries to be fit for IPL>
What is the big deal about dorpping Zaheer for the rest of the test series? Zaheer has never been a match winner but just an average bowler. just drop him and bring in new guys give them chance. Sreeshant can do better job. the problem with Indian selection is that you stupid selectors try to hold on to old useless players like Zaheet instead you should try to give continues opportunity to young and new players. i dont know how Zaheer managed to play this far having no match winning ability.

Dhoni has always proved his detractors wrong. If it happens again he will be fortunate. But he has enjoyed home advantage and got no.1 ranking though it is doubtful whether we deserve it. Now is the acid test for him. He has already proved his immaturity by employing Ishant to bowl after lunch on second innings which was the only reason for losing the first Test. Now we have wait and watch....
While our guys are busy playing IPL and earning big bucks, England players practiced hard in their county matches which in today's context are better preparation matches than IPL.
Our players were busy playing IPL and getting injured before important Test series which decides our No:1 status.
Thats the state of our Cricket and all BCCI guys should be sent out.

it atleast gives u 4 days of practice ofcourse in English conditions...playing IPL we get this 20 over mentality and where is practice for players to play Test cricket in India before an important series like this one.

IPL is foundation for oneday cricket maybe...
Look at Gambhir, Zaheer and Yuvraj all got injured and missed West Indies test matches which could have been a good practice for the England series.

deepak, u definitely have a pea sized malfunctioning brain. There are no good players that we got from T20. Even if u prove (which is impossible) that there are good players who were the result of T20, we can show you 10 players whom we have lost because of IPL.

I totally agree with you...Its the BCCI's greed to get as much revenue as possible that there are hardly any practice warm off matches these days...BCCI does not think warm up matches are necessary and instead fit in as many intl matches as possible...I remember England prepared for over a month before Ashes playing 4-5 first class games and the result was there to see for all.
