Dhoni is most depleted player totally unfit to play Test cricket. Occupying place in test squad just because of his captaincy skills.

We have Experienced players
by nobel on Jul 27, 2011 09:00 PM  | Hide replies

Rightly said we have experienced players like Sachin, Dravid, Harbajan, Laxman.
The former two have been so selfish, to remain not out and looking for their own century that they never think of guarding or shielding the tailenders from the fast bowlers. The always remain at the nonstrikers end and let tailenders face most of the difficult balls.
The latter 2 have been loosing the wickets playing rash shots in a test match. These are the kind of experience we have in the team.

dravid is eq to 2 batsman.they should play 5 bowlers.Bajji is over the hill and zaheer is under the hill why they went to England?we have better spinners, but chose weaker ones.english are weak ag spin and yet we are trying unfit so called swing bowlers

I guess by sayig the former two, you mean SRT and Dravid. If Dravid was keen for his century then he would have retained the strike whenever possible. He would not take the risk of letting his partners lose their wickets and thus lose the opportunity of a century. So reassess your logic.

They can remain not out and increase the average too.

Munaf must play...he is still undervalue by team
by Vijay P on Jul 27, 2011 08:58 PM  | Hide replies

Munaf patel must play all remaining matches..
I re-iterate, He is the only after zaheer most defensive, accurate, less risky compare to any to other bowler...
not many knows how he cooly and silently perform in world cup...

if india is to win series, the team must come hard...

replace Mukund with Yuvi... yuvi may not perform best... but must take chance if he does... because mukund is not going to seems play solid contributer...

Sreesanth at all cost should not given chance as it isvery very risky...

Vijay

MUNAF IS ACCURATE AGREED BUT SHREE IS QUICK BOTH SHOULD BE IN THE TEAM. PROBLEM IS THAT PRAVEEN HAS TAKEN 5 WICKETS SO CAN NOT BE REMOVED. IT WAS BIGGEST MISTAKE TO TAKE UNFIT ZAHEER AND KEPT OUT THIS TWO GOOD BOWLERS MUNAF AND SHREE FOR TEST.IF BALL WILL NOT MOVE MUCH PRAVEEN WILL BE A BIG PASSENGER EVEN BALL MOVES HE CAN NOT GET QUICK WICKETS LIKE ISHANT DID IN 2ND INNINGS.

A WHAT YOU SAYS ABOUT PRAVEEN IS SEEEMS OK..HE IS NOT PACE AND GENUINE RACK OPPOSITION...

BUT SRESANTH PLEASE WE HAVE ALREADY LOST FIRST TEST..SO CAN NOT TAKE CHANCE...

THIS IS WHAT I TALK ABOUT MUNAF... BUT NOBODY BELIEVES IN HIM..AND THAT;S PROBLEM...

REGARDING QUICK IS ISSUSION... ALL INGLIESH AND INDIAN BOWLER ARE MORE LESS SIMILAR...
MUNAF IS INTELLEGENT THAT HE USESS SLOW DEVLIVERY IN ODI AND T20 .. AND PEOPLE CALL HIM SPIINNING THE BALL...LOOK HIS OVER ALL QUICKNESS IN TEST...

playing munaf over sreesanth??? Just check the latter's record in tests. Two tests in SA that India won in last decade were because of him. Have u seen any cricket match? Forgot perhaps that mr Munaf Patel got only one wicket against WI in two innings

INDIA NO 1
by biswajit nandi on Jul 27, 2011 08:49 PM

WAS WE EXPECTING THESE PERFORMANCES AFTER WINNING THE WORLD CUP....IPL.....WEST INDIES TOUR.....WE ARE AT LEAST FOR NOW NO.1 IN BOTH FORMS,BUT LOOKING AT THE PLAYERS ARE WE GETTING THE FEELING....THEY SEEMS TO TAKING IT TOO CASUALLY.....THERE IS ALWAYS A FEAR AMONG OUR ARDENT FANS THAT WHILE BATTING ONCE A WICKET FALL THERE IS NO ONE TO BACKUP,ALSO THE SAME IS IN THE CASE OF BOWLING...WAS IT THE SAME IN CASE OF AUSTRALIA OR WEST INDIES WHEN THEY WERE THE DOMINANT FORCE IN WORLD CRICKET?? ARE WE ONLY GOING TO BE HAPPY WITH INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES OR LANDMARKS...WHY WE CAN'T PLAY LIKE A TEAM & UPTO OUR POTENTIAL...IS TOO MUCH CRICKET OD TOO MUCH MONEY IS DEPRIVING US OF SEEING "TEAM INDIA" WE WOULD ALWAYS LOVE TOO....

...ALSO CAN THESE QUESTIONS CAN BE PUT TO THE PLAYERS & MAIN IMPORTANTLY TO THE BCCI.

Depleted Bowlers
by Makya on Jul 27, 2011 08:42 PM

C'mon accept the fact that your bowling attack is depleted except Zaheer.

Ishant Sharma at the age of 22 needs bowling rest even after 40min. lunch break when you had opposition 5 down for 62.

Harbhajan seems to have forgotten to take wickets. He is too predictable nowdays.

Praveen Kumar bowls his heart out with swing-supporting conditions but not penetrative enough.

Munaf have lost his pace for his accuracy. But this copycat forgets Glen McGrath bowled with great pace alongwith disciplined bowling. Munaf's current bowling style is more suitable for limited overs cricket.

It is better nothing to say about this monkey called Sreesanth. Total failure in warm-up game in England. Dhoni's choice for WC final match goes for 52 runs in 8 overs.

Indian Bowling attack does not have any sort of firepower to bowl opposition out. It would be interesting to see how many innings they bowl out England in this series, failed in both innings at Lords.

Why junior most player to address media?
by pradeep agarwal on Jul 27, 2011 08:41 PM  | Hide replies

This is what Dhoni thinks of media that has made him God.He has become arrogant & was very disgraceful in not even acknowledging better cricket played by England in post match interview.

If suppose the senior most sachin were to address the media, you guys would still ask why dhoni did not come himself and instead sent sachin to face the media. If dhoni came for the interview, you would still say dhoni had no shame to come before the media! Lol.

India don't deserve to be No.1 Test team. Accept the fact, drink McDowells No.1 & be happy.
