From Cuckoos (read Lavetory) to cremation centre (Sudugaadu in tamil) there is reservation for every damn thing in India. There is no concept of merit or performance or value add. The people in India are such dumbass and idiots for such a long time (read 200-300 years) and will continue to remain so divided by British. God save the country.
Dhoni MS is an exception in Cricket, when i meant reservation it works either ways. Mumbai and Karnatak underrated players (irrespective or caste, religion) being selected ahead of Bengal or Oriya and Tamilian players is also part of problem in India. For the record i never meant Sachin T, Sunil G or Vinod K. But do u remember Amol Mazumdar, Sujith Somasundaram or Bahutule? Do they ever deserve a continuous place in Indian Team ahead of players from Rajasthan or WB or TN? Think abt it. Its worse in other fields (i meant other than cricket)

@Vaidhy Narayan: I wonder where u come up with all these theories :). And even if it is true, ur comment is irrelevant here
This test was a throw-back to the pre-Kapil era. The Indians were meek and defeatable right from the day one. Batsmen like Dravid and Laxman played for over an hour for 10 odd runs. Fielders dropped catches at random.
Gary Kirsten obviously understood the dynamics of the team better and got the most out of them. Fletcher is new and need more time to learn how to motivate the team.
Here are my observations from this test:
1. Poor selection by leaving out Yuvraj Singh and playing Abhinav Mukand. Was South Lobby responsible for this?
2. Playing unfit and injured players came back to hound Indians. The medics in the team and team management owns this mistake.
3. Lack of tactical strategy against Kevin Pieterson. Indian captain had no clue what to do when Kevin was in full flow.
4. Poor fielding - Dravid and Laxman dropped easy catches. Dhoni was lethargic behind the wickets. But the poor fielder of the test award goes to Abhinav Mukund.
5. Poor leadership by Dhoni. Releasing an ad mocking his senior player and his dead father before the test was in very poor taste. By bowling himself at the peak of english innings, Dhoni showed his casual approach and gave a message that he had already given up on this test.
6. Lack of motivation and determination by the team. With the exception of Dravid, VVS, Raina, Praveen and Sharma, rest of the team gave up too quickly. May be they were trying to follow their leader - Don't make it large, make it different - Dhoni

Thanks for agreeing with my observations but Indian team is the best if it is selected on merit and when players play with their heart.

Selection by merit! You must be dreaming. Since August 15th, 1947 nothing in India is done on a merit basis. Selection by corruption is the new basis and motto for India. All the players of this team should be nominated for the Bharat Ratna, which is worthless anyway as far as the rest of the world is concerned!!!!

I Agree with you sceptic critic, btw you can use ur own name instead of being hypocritical :-).
Comin to the point from Cuckoos (read Laverty) to cremation centre (Sudugaadu in tamil) there is reservation for every damn thing in India. There is no concept of merit or performance or value add. The people in India are such dumb and idiots for such a long time (read 200-300 years) and will continue to remain so. God save the country.

For the record i never meant Sachin T, Sunil G or Vinod K. But do u remember Amol Mazumdar or Sairaj Bahutule? Do they ever deserve a place in Indian Team ahead of players from Rajasthan or WB or TN? Think abt it

All of this could be true but most important is - before you play a team like England in England, stop this nonsence IPL and focus on Test Cricket preparation.

This simply shows hw U close ur eyes to mistakes of players who are not from TN. Dravid dropped Kevin when he was in 0.He also dropped a couple of more catches in the first innings.Mukund was the second highest run scorer in the first innings.Don't show ur North Indian bias again.

Just to add on - Stop taking the injured/unfit players by putting strict rules. One should qualify the medial tests and then only he will be allowed to get considered in a team.
So wen the team loses wat r they suppose to say? "we let them win cos we were tired of winning".. he was jus givin the cause of defeat.... everything cannot be taken negatively

Hey Sherlock Holmes, what do you know of Cricket? Howmany wickets did spinners take in all four innings - 3 from both sides. The wicket was clearly not spinning but you have to get your crap out on Harbhajan - huh? The guy just finished 400 wickets but you fail to see his accomplishments .. what are you a blonde?
Re: Re: fdsfs
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 26, 2011 03:22 AM
Hey Arv Singh 375 of his 400 wickets have come 3 years back last 3 years Harbhajan has done nothing. Name one match winning spell in the past 3 years?
Yu talk about Swann? what did HARBHAJAn do in WI when Bishoo was taking 7-8 wickets?
zaheer khan should be blamed for this.....if he was not fit for the test, then should have declared unfit to himself.....these people r playing IPL to earn money (i do not complain abt that)....but do not give importance to test cricket.....
Just read the Times of India paper they always praise Tendulkar even if he scores 10 runs they will write two exquisite boundaries etc. Even if sardar scores hundred they will write he got guidance from Sachin. everywhere Sachin. It looks like TOI is earning because of tendulkar.
When Dravid got out on 36 in the second inning they have written that he got out on poor shot fine but why to put so in so bad tone what your dearest sachin did?
Complete newspaper can cover Sachin Tendulkar that idiotic the news we can find in TOI.

TOI is a piece of crap. Famous for yellow journalism. Its a good paper to read and laugh at journalism but not good to believe what they write.
But how does it matter?? Its still a highest selling english daily in India.
