that applies to dhoni also.
if we replace him with a capable wicketkeeper batsman like patel, we will more no. of matches at batting position 7 is crtitical in test cricket.
Gill/sanga/mat prioe/boucher etc has won many matches with his bat

Be in your limit, time will tell you future. Don't believe me. Check sachin's record on your soil. It is better than you and better than your all time great peterson.

Dravid is best on English Soil(and abroad too)
by GIREESH MM on Jul 18, 2011 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

Dravid had scored 3 consecutive centuries(one 200 ) in england. It was in 3 consecutive innings!!!Note that!!! He was a great success in English County cricket where as Sachin failed miserably in County .That is the FACT.

Gireesh

Have you ever heard of newsline where they talk about nullfying any other threat besides Sachin ?

For most part of 20 years , the opposition team always concentrated on Sachin. Don't you wonder why they pay so much attention to one player ?

Why is there hardly an article of " XYX team strategizes to nullify Non-sachin threat "

Why is it always Sachin, whether he is in form or not.

sachin averages 62 with the bat in England. Till date Indian has won 2 Tests in England since 1989, and SRT averages 95 in those 2 Tests.

rightly said.
sachin is highest run scorer as well as biggest match winner in test for india followed by laxman.
In oDI agin he is highest run getter as well as biggest match winner.
he has 68 MOM in ODI a world record.
Dhobiji can't win so many MOM even if he play 1000 ODI for sure.

Lets hope..
First test is very important.. Because Indians take time to settle... and their records in first test is not very good.

also never won a test series outside agiant quality team like SA/Aus/Slk/Eng.
India could only draw the series aginst SLK & SA by 1-1 & he has never played any series in Eng/Aus. So result still to be seen.
Though I agree beating England in england is much easier compared to SA in SA followed by aus in Aus in test cricket as far as indian record in past is concerned
