In my view, I think Rahul Dravid should be promoted to open the innings as he has already came to face the second ball of the innings many times. So, he should open the innings with Gambhir, Yuvraj and Raina should be included for the first two tests, because winning this series is far more important than any other tournament as the British media is so loud of their player's performances...Best XI should be in the side to keep them shut. 100 centuries or not, Sachin should perform and see off the england bowlers with his experience. Ishant needs to deliver a big time as he has done against OZ in OZ. Zak and Bhaj should torment the england batsmen. Though Eng is playing good cricket at the moment, still they have their weeknesses in playing spin. So, Bhaji should prove his experience in this side by tossing the ball them and to spin rather than bowling 5 doosras in the over... Come on boys...India is No.1 at the moment and should stay atleast for another 2-3 years...Good luck...

I support your views.We should go with both Yuvraj and Raina to add variety to our bowling also.The final Eleven should be: 1.Gambir 2.Dravid 3.Yuvraj 4.Sachin 5.Laxman 6.Raina 7.Dhoni 8.Harbhajan 9.Zaheer 10.Ishant h 11.Sreeshant/Munaf/Praveen
I always feel we should give more chances to young members as we still accommodating the old horses. My opinion is that Rahul should be rested after the WI series. Similarly VVS should get a rest after England Series. This would enable us to inject younger players in to the Test team. We are definitely sure after 2 years these players will call it a day. It is duty of the BCCI that they have to plan and inject new players into the team and the old horses should play only one or two series in a year.

AGREED ! Well thought, But i wish to differ a bit, Changes should be brought only if they fail to produce for more than 04 innings.. Hmm !!
Why Tendulkar is playing for 100th Century. If he does not make the century India will not gain prestige. Let Tendulkar gives an opportunity to upcoming star, Yuvraj in his place. Then, the order will be Openers-2, Rahul-3, VVS-4, Yuvraj-5, Raina-6, Dhoni-7, and others. Brainless people are in the board or Tendulkar might have given some money to them in order to keep his position intact. Can't Tendulkar sacrifice in the interest of future Indian Cricket.

@Syamalarao unvss: Your should be out of your brains. As long as he performs, a player is as important as the team. Ur comment is as logical as Digvijay Singh's comments.

You deserved the reply frommr. Vivek. It is performance that counts not the age.
Yiuvraj needs more time to get back into the groove. As usual, nowadyas tours have hardly any preparation time for players. I remember in the 708s and 80s, a tour to any of the big three cricket playing nations, Eng, Aus or WI started with about 8 to 10 county matches. The players had time to acclimatize. Today, they don't get even three matches, which I feel is a minimum for players to get used to the weather, the tracks and adjust their game...
All the best for Team India. Hoping they notch one more win over England.
It was in the same match against the same opponent and conditions. Yuvraj flopped and raina seized the opportunity. Now fairness demands that raina be preferred over Yuvraj for the next test.
Yuvraj is gr8 talent has been waited by BCCI and Selector. He would have to been captain of Indian Team and If he has to straggle for place in Team then its unfair. He failed only one tour of Australia and that was due to his love DEEPIKA only

@Manoj Kumley: Instead of Mukund, get back Wassim Jaffer or Deep Das Gupta or Ajay Ratra :). I dont know from where u get such brilliant ideas. And I am not sure about Sreesanth. Anyway, Dhoni will prefer Sreesant for his contribution in WC-2011.
