Real dhoni- a coward
by ASHISH KUMAR on Jul 11, 2011 02:46 PM  | Hide replies

I don't undersatnd why people are surprised.
It is real dhoni always coward & having lack of confidence.
He is always selfish & plays for records.
He knows that he is in test team in name of captaincy & on playing ability he will never get a chance to play in test team(especialy overseas tour- check his last 6 series records).
Hence no way he wants to loose the test as it will affect his position & all of his signed add contract

to me, your comments remind me of few people who try and pull other legs for nothings, just because you do not like them for some reason.... That is very very wrong. INSTEAD, why don't you look the other way. India has won a series in West Indies -- a rare achievement, that too without star batsmen missing due to injury, etc.. Hence, rather than criticizing, praise the Team for the good results they have achieved. Please re-think and try to be logical, rather that wishful...

have u seen the West Indian team? do u think its an achievement winning against them? Wrong! It shud be a given! So what if 3-4 key players were missing- a great side should always have a strong bench strength- that is what benefitted Australia in their heydays!

yes. you are right. and now the media instead of blaming him is praising him. no one raises a finger at dhoni even when he fails both as batsman and captain. But if india wins because of someone else's performance, the media is quick to give Dhoni the credit even if he wasn't responsible for india's success in any way.

you call yourself darwin but you are yet to evolve from an ape to a human being. You are still a monkey so you like what the media tells you to like. Dhoni is useless. if you had brains you would have known that long back.

yes asif...if only...what pains me is the fact that the new generation Indians have surrendered their ability to think to the media...they cannot see the truth it is...whatever the media says is true for them

Dhoni is the only one having 3 avatars Keeper, Captain and Batsman. Please dont forget that u can have one bowler short or a batsman short in a match but not without a Wicket keeper. In addition to Keeping hes a good batsman with some limitations and an astute captain and leader. The last Keeper who could bat that we remember was Syed Kirmani

he used to be good in 2005-20006...but no longer...one good year should not guarantee his place for 10 years...dont be so complacent...it's time to drop dhoni and look for another keeper...may be patel cos he is vastly improved now...even karthick is better than dhoni ...ON CURRENT FORM

anyone...gambhir, sehwah, raina ...all have won series as captain...captain's role is limited as other senior members are also a part of the team think-tank ...it is only the media which has blown Dhoni's role out of proportion...so that they keep the moneyed advertisers in good humour

Taken from Cricinfo- Good

To be a true champion it is not enough that one sit on top of a numerical ladder of rankings and points; it is necessary the putative champion show the desire and the ability to respond to challenges, to find a way to transcend limitations and rise to the top of the game. This Indian Test team is certainly one of the most consistent in Indian cricket history and MS Dhoni is certainly one of its shrewdest captains. But the Dominica result shows that there is a long way to go before it can attain the status of champions.

We all know how the Indian team made a clean sweep of the test series under your glorious captaincy against Australia in 1978, playing a second string Australian team, depleted due to the regular players being busy with the Kerry Pakcer's world series matches.

We all are fully aware and appreciate your team's resounding wins against New Zealand and England in 1976-1977 at home.

Who can be more qualified than yourself to tell that the present Indian team should have gone for a 3-0 win against West Indies?

Quite agree with you. But then the opposition here did not have some one like Mr Bedi who would allow the opposition to hit sixes and win a matchlike it happened in Pakistan 1978
