Look into that mirror,Sachin by Ian Chappell
by cool dude on Jul 06, 2011 03:25 AM  | Hide replies

Before anybody else makes a decision on what will happen to Tendulkar the player himself has to have a good long look into the mirror and decide what he's trying to achieve in the game. At the moment he looks like a player trying to eke out a career; build on a glittering array of statistics. If he really is playing for that reason and not to help win as many matches as he can for India then he is wasting his time and should retire immediately.

If Tendulkar had found an honest mirror three years ago and asked the question; "Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the best batsman of all?" It would've answered; "Brian Charles Lara." If he asked that same mirror right now; "Mirror, mirror on the wall should I retire?" The answer would be; "Yes."

abouslote correct but indian metality is diffrent from lara because he is class player but in my view tendulkar wants t retire as earlier as possible its better i think before breaking the mirror

you are fools. Only the best should play. Age immaterial. scoring rate, runs, average and anything else, sachin still has no match even in recent matches. vijay, kohli, etc must wait till sachin feels he is done, or till his performance falls. advocates like you are of no value and relevance.

i am not a cricket regular.Knows little of the game, but Ravi Rampal and his medium pace could never get me out.Even not runout! With respect as a Windian to Ravi Rampal. Lets hope Ramnaresh Sarwan get back his form. In the Windies we say the best of wishes to whole of India.

Thn you should have been playing. WI selectors have missed a great batsman. I believe Ravi is the best bowler in both the teams combined. :)

Cricket is only famous in india, pak, bangladesh,SL,
all developing nations and some poor..
remember the 2007 world cup in west indies was total flop ..empty stands(check on youtube)Cmon..even the matches played in this world cup were empty accept for india pak SL playing..I cant understand y are we playing a game thats only famous in india..cmon for a world cup there are empty stands..give me a break..I pity the other sports like athletics, soccer, olympics where we have a total concentration of the world and we suck big time in these games..1.15 billion people play a game thats only famous in southeast asia..dont even go there to say its famous in australia and england..the people in UK dont even care for cricket anymore..west indies dont consider cricket imp anymore .its athletics. and other sports..so where is the competetion..if we say that europe loves soccer but soccer is played by 140 nations and only 36 nations play in the final..so they have the right to be fanactic abt this world sport..Cricket is dying game only played by 8 countries..that also its dying in 4 of these 8 countries..what a shame and waste of talent in our country.. i really pity the sportsperson of other sports no recognition for them which they do well thats famous all over the world..We have not got a single medal in athletics in olmypics..cause we concentrate in dumb lazy game of cricket.Hockey is our invention yet we suck cause of cricket..I apeal to please give recognition to other sports

Why not try ---

Why not try Vriddhiman Sahaa instead?

He is much more capable (as per selectors) than many other aspirants who had excelled in ranaji & IPLs.

He has found place in squad visiting England also. So he is better than Murali & others who have been dropped.
