Individually team might be good but not as a team. In 1983 it was a team effort, no hypes and individual hypocrisy, hype of media etc. Now it is more showman ship, one man ship all media hype etc. It will be great effort if we win initial matches.

1. In 1983, except kapil being Capt, Kirmani being WK their places were guaranteed. All other players including gavaskar have to play for their place. 2. Think of now, whom will you drop even they fail in two matches: Sachin, Sewag, Yuvi, Bazzi, Zaheer, Gautam. This six have to play, with Dhoni capt 7 players can never get dropped. So for remaining 4 places other have to struggle.

1. Who are those players who will have to play 'musical chairs':- Munaf, Nehra, Chawla, Aswin (Bowlers). Raina,Kohli and Pathan (Batsmen). 2. In 1983 there were a no. of all rounders and now NIL. Don't count sewag, yuvi, sachin and pathan as all rounders they are bowling just bcos they can rotate their arms.

India stands a good chance of reaching at least semis. Beyond that no one knows what will happen bcoz its just 1 bad day @ office & u'll b out ! Like India , Sri Lanka stands a good chance. Paks & Bangladesh will produce some surprise result and the latter is the "dark horse" this time. But I don't think English, Aussies, Windies & Kiwis have any material chance this time as sub-continent climate during Feb-Mar is somewhat alien to them. Proteas has the ability but they r mysterious chokers as well for reasons best known to them. But bookies, put ur money on Bangladesh . Players like Shakib-ul-Hassan & Tamim Iqbal can turn the table and they will play b4 their supporters at home. I'm afraid they can stun India as well. They r looking like India in 1983.

Bhajji Please stop day dreaming .Go into palpable weakness of indian team. 1) Bad bowling in death overs. 2) poor fielding with exception of Raina only. 3) Unreliable Veeru. 4) Wayward bowling by Nehra 5) Pents getting wet while chasing a target 6) Middle order collapse 7) some snobbish players like Yuvraj 8) Dhoni form out of order . Only sachin's form will be a deciding factor.

dear bhajji, stop the analysis of game and worry about your bowling and lost wicket taking ability, by the way what has happened to your doosra nowadays? Try out a teesra or chautha.
