We did lose but closely fought. I don't think the batsmen from either side really dominated. They had a couple of batsmen scoring and so did we. It was not a one sided series as expected.

Team India won the closely fought matches. But the 3 matches they lost were one sided.
Bhajji is right. The playing conditions are totally different India. But history says that home team has never won World cup. The pressure will be too much on Indian team.

The team that peaks at the right time will win. This is a long tournament and will be a very different test than shorter ones. The recent Aus - England series England seems to have dipped down significantly. Perhaps they are saving their best for the WC. This is more about stamina and bouncing back from the first 1-2 losses - something like Pak in 92. After the Ashes I would have thought about them, but otherwise I think India has the potential to win this one provided that they correct their acts.
The world cup is scheduled during examination times & the IPL during the summer vacation. This clearly indicates that no one is interested in World cup earnings & more interested in IPL earnings. Our Indian team players are also playing for IPL & just take up the worldcup for the sake of just playing. So one can think that Indian players will not play for the country (in World cup) but will play better in IPL(for individual earnings). Corruption in Indian Politics & Corruption in our Games also.
