by girish pulicherla on Jan 26, 2011 06:30 AM

atlast he get's some recognition he is modest enough to accept it and saying that playing for the country is most rewarding others must take a lesson from him and dont run for rewards and records.

for bird-brain morons 30 or more tests won by sachin were for his personal records whereas 6 odd tests vvs laxman helped india won were unselfish great acts... including test against aussie in which he let poor ishant face 95 balls of their 120 ball partnership and then take credit for win as per his name very very selfish laxman...

Both VVS and Sachin are great players and have made our country proud. VVS is indeed the greatest middle order batsman in India's cricketing history and Sachin, the best ever batsman. Hats off to both these players. They deserve the awards they are due to receive.

v.v.s.laxman is the best ,ganguly is useless ,he is the one who bck stabs laxman for WC,laxman is the 1 who saved ganguly captain job when he scored 281 against ,the greatest innings played by any indian till now.do you remember this innings or nt.

When I come to think, it always corroborates. All great and successful people in this world have always been taken as a standard - on one hand- and also criticised - on the other. Criticism, if taken positively can be a boon in disguise as life is always short to learn. I am sure Sachin must have also observed his short comings and improved upon them, which is the reason why he is the GREATEST CRICKETING ACHIEVEMENT of India till date. As a matter of fact, for every successful batsman, if you find Sachin being ridiculed, it is indeed a testimony to the fact that he must be so great- that he made a few enemies. Which every successful person makes. Look at all the great people in the world. At the same time, unwarranted criticism has to be ignored - which I am sure he is more than qualified to, with 20 yrs of cricketing experience behind him. WOuld like to have other opinions as well on this.

Proficiency & perfection in any thing that one takes up whole heartedly is also a matter of genetic factor and rightly enough Laxman has inherited this rare quality of emerging as an outstanding cricketer worth being boasted by the Nation from his father Shantaram who is one of the very top rated general physicians in Hyderabad City.Dr Shataram believes in less medication & more in counselling & advising on curative & remedial matters. He is very simple, unassuming & soft spoken. His son Laxman too imbibed the same qualities. Personally,I also congratulate Dr Shantaram for his efforts & motivation he gave to his son for all the success of the latter.May God bless both-the father & his son.
