Rajesh.. Because of people like you.. the whole world is laughing at us in Olympics N Asian Games which are very very big compared to Cricket.. But this is never going in ur heads.. Whole world knows Paes N Bhupati.. But only Indians and 10 other countries knows Lakshman..
I think rewarding him with Padmasri is ok.But I think he should be given Captaincy in Tests then only he is rewarded correctly.Can anybody object this?

Performers should not be given captaincy. It is a heavy added burden. That is why Sourav and Dhoni are so successful because they do not have the burden to perform, nor do they perform more than 1 in 20 matches.

he Can be test captain but dhoni is doing good only way to reward him LET HIM PLAY WORLD CUP ONCE

Yes.. I too agree. I feel He can be Captain for ODI team also. He definitely has a better avg. Strike rate than Dhoni.
It is good that Laxman's services to Indian cricket has been recognized.He has been the main saviour whenever his side was in trouble and perhaps must have played the maximum no. of match saving innings for India.Wish him more and greater laurels.

Well sais ! I fully agree with you. He is made of different stuff altogether-- remember he was the only player to have turned the 'icon' status in IPL 1. And what did Deccan Chargers do in return, they did not retain him. He is also the only player with 15 years of intl cricket and no brand endorsements !
