Dear Dhoni,

Please do not disturb team by saying batting department, bowling department, catching department etc. You are also part of team where you have not scored as per your Captain department, batsman department.

WC CHANCES ? R ASHWIN COULD BE A KEY, CRUCIAL ?
by damodaran mohan on Jan 26, 2011 08:36 PM

In the background of the just concluded SA tour where does India stand and what indeed are the chances of India winning the WC ? Let us hope batting will be OK under Indian conditions especially with the reinforcements of the regular openers. But what is definitely worrying is Dhoni’s baffling decisions which sometimes makes one think if a person with nearly Rs. 100 crores endorsements could be as dumbwitted as that ? Yes, I am referring to Dhoni's decision to bowl after winning the toss in the last match knowing fully well that Mr. D/L was certain to appear ! And why was Pathan under bowled ? Why didn’t he try out Sri or R/Aswin at all in the series ? Because he knew they would succeed !The question now is, how is he going to use his bowling resources in the WC ? Just try the tested combo and allow R/Aswin to warm the benches all along ? We have seen how badly Dhoni lost the last two T20 WC. What happens if Bhajji doesn’t click ? Team India just packs up and leave early ? Anyway , let the conditioning camp begin, we may get better idea.

SA TOUR ; ONE DAY SERIES
by damodaran mohan on Jan 26, 2011 08:24 PM

One day series ? Comparatively not good, rather bad . In fact both India and SA teams competed in playing poor cricket. Indian batting flop was lead from the front by Dhoni and the final 3-2 score in fact does not reflect the true picture . If only the Safricans had not ‘choked’ at crucial times, the score line could have been even 5-0 in favour of SA. Agreed, conditions were not easy and D/Steyn-M/Morkel were simply unplayable .We can only hope the duo would not be as devastating under Indian conditions and that Indian batting failure in SA were an aberration and would do well during the WC, specially with the reinforcement of the regular openers. That way batting of V/Kohli and V/Pathan is a big positive of the tour.Although Zaheer , Munaf and Bhajji did bowl well in the first three matches but could not sustain it towards the end in more Indian like conditions. That is a real worry . Some consolation that Yuvi proved to be a better bowler than a batter. But the Proteas too played badly and Y/Pathan almost won the series for India and all but undid the generous gifting of the last match to G/Smith by Dhoni after the toss.

SA TOUR :TEST SERIES
by damodaran mohan on Jan 26, 2011 08:16 PM

While the last Indian Test & One day tour of SA was undoubtedly the most successful tour ever by any indian side but the tour will be remembered more for the 'missed opportunities'.That inevitable feeling of a narrow 'miss' will rankle and haunt for ever. However the way after a slow and disasterous start the team fought back on such bouncy tracks with grit and determination was a rare exhibition of character and team work in which every one contributed. Singling out names may be difficult but likes of Sachin, Laxman, Dhoni etc. did play very important batting revival roles. On the bowling front Srishant was at his best but Bhajji and Zaheer also had important contribution. If only the bowlers could push themselves a little more in the 3rd test India might have created history after all. However in the end overall the Indian Test side did a brilliant job and perform creditably.

Dhoni is playing for Match Fixers in Co with Selectors!!!
by k p on Jan 25, 2011 07:30 AM

BCCI's double talk and practice of aparthied is costing India!! For some reason, BCCI Team Selectors are not going by facts and truths!!

The WC Cup Team of India has:
Sachin, Sewag, Gambir, Yuvi and Nehra - all under treatments for their injury! Sachin, Sewag and Gambir returned from SA in bad shape and, I doubt, if they have fully recovered from their injuries! Yuvi is not fit as before and his physical fitness have not been proved! Nehra has world record of unfitness, returned home several occasions! Probably he must not have been recovered from his injuries - proved by the fact tht he has difficulty fielding good!! After 10 overs, he is good for nothing for the team! No fielding, No batting!! I do not know why Dhoni was adamant in selecting this guy!!

Selectors also is assembling together to make their bad selections! They are all in one page to exclude Sree as well!

God knows these selectrors are teaming up with the Match Fixers to share big money among themselves! If that is the case, probably Dhoni has good knowledge about it and may be an "Yes man" to their tune!

I do not find any reason why Dhoni suddenly forgetting his game! He did not make decent double digits in the last 3 games in SA! May be Sree has knowledge about Dhoni's "connections"!!

One thing is certain: India is sending a Team with 75% injury prone stars! The result will also be obvious! IT WILL BE A SHAME IF WE DO NOT WI

Learnings from the SA tour
by Indranil Chowdhury on Jan 24, 2011 08:14 PM

First slide - Cricketers are susceptible to periodic loss of form, therefore what happened here is normal. Did not have enough time for practice sessions -(although MS sat out the whole NZ tour), basically I did not prepare.
Second slide - Continues in the same fashion as the first saying that this will be a "part and Parcel" of my captaincy. You need to play suicide shots in which fashion one is expected to fail although the SA players demonstrated that you can get to a good score without playing these shots.
Third Slide - Dont forget we had plenty of postives here.
Fourth slide - asked about Pathan's performance, he pointed out that Yuvraj can also do that, indicating Pathan's likely exclusion from 11.
Fifth slide - asked about who should win this WC, "anybody who plays consistently" - conceding the fact that the team cannot play consistently. The most precious statement in the interview was
"The biggest positive out of this game the last 10 overs we can chase anything if we have got wickets in hand. I think learning is more than just loss of the game"
The learning of the Indian fans was that this team could not be trusted to win the WC.

Dhoni-destroyer of careers
by navneeth sarathy on Jan 24, 2011 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

Dinesh Karthick-asked to open..srilankan umpires did the rest

Rohit Sharma - Sa umpire in one match and bad luck in the remaining

Abhimanyu Mithun- Dhoni Kirsten selectors..poor guy made to debut in Lanka, and even after doing well kicked out

Sreesanth- Dhoni hates since he celebrated animatically after taking his wicket bowled during an IPL match and then the spat with bhajji ( being his best pal)

Next he is planning for destroying careers of :-

Parthiv
Sehwag
Yuvraj
Ashwin
Amit Mishra
