Team India's world cup campaign

Team India's world cup campaign

I know some people in this forum going to abuse me, get irritated and mark my message as junk.
well, i can't stop writing some predictions.

Team India's world cup campaign is pre-fixed to some extent, will reach upto Semis sustaining some bad losses (read large margin defeats) on the way.
Will beat Aussie in Quarter but lose to English in Semi finals. Eventual champion will be SL beating England this time.

We Kalu Indians will only want Goras as Coach
by sam puzhakkal on Jan 25, 2011 08:09 AM  | Hide replies

India has produced so many world class players...yet we will keep seeking a white skinned person for the job.

We dont seem to want our own iconic players from yesteryears to be the coach. Even among foreign players never even think that a Viv Richards or Aravinda De' Silva would be approached because they are not white.

We feel nice having a Gora Sahib train us. White Skin gives us the feeling that we are getting 'superior' value for money. it is almost as if BCCI believes it has covered itself from any potential scrutiny about the selection process. Afterall how can you be accussed paying too much for a white person's services.

Sam, Performance speaks. Has india ever attained #1 status in any form of cricket ever?
Gary did a great job, accept it.

It all started with John Wright and Sourav, Greg chapel had some problems.

But on flip side whoever u bring in as coach (Spannish, english, dutch or Russian) Indian football team never improves.
Thats cause we lack talent and basic foundation in soccer.
Cricket we have the skill too, i didnt mean Gary is all the reason for success.

Any football fan comments?

Ooops....something same what you have been asking for was tried in last few years as well. For Example we all know, how well KAPIL performed as an COACH. Next was Prasad as a bowling coach. Ajit wadekar was as well...But Result all were if not fail than nor improved the TEAM as well.
Gary did a fabulous job. He has some personal reasons. He has done a tremendous job and we must applaud him

I am sure Greg Chappel's performance was also fabulous, right?

That is the problem with Kalu indian mentality like yours. You will see examples of ordinary Indian performance and ignore the failings of Gora. Ever ready to lick Goras. Keep it up.

Good joke. He hates India so much that he will ensure that India replaces Bangladesh at the bottom of the test rankings.

BCCI bring back our beloved dada (Ganguly) as coach
by Manali Desai on Jan 24, 2011 06:35 PM  | Hide replies

It is high time BCCI brings back Sourav Ganguly as coach of team India for at least two years. Two years should be given to him to prove his calibre as coach. Our beloved dada deserves this place.

Make Dhoni The Coach
by Samrat Roy on Jan 24, 2011 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

because he is not contributing aqnything successfully in the field aprt frm talking to the presenter at the end of the match(he is losing tosses even). C'mon, we can not compete with any team with TEN players instead of ELEVEN. but he needs to be there with the team because of his famed LUCK. what better than the post of a coach?

Whos the wicketkeeper....At least he is more useful to the team than when ganguly was there and not scoring runs.
